Protect the Monument! In every country overrun by
the Japs in WWII, Comfort Women were sex slaves. In the Philippines,
Filipina women were held for the sexual pleasure of Japanese Officers.
Reference:"The Comfort Women," by George Hicks, ISBN 0-393-03807-6,
W.W.Norton, N.Y.,London, c.1994, George Hicks:

"Over 100,000 women across Asia were victims of enforced prostitution by the Japanese Imperial Forces duerng WWII. Until as recently as 1993 [and now 2012] the Japanese government continued to deny this shameful part of history."
Shanghai, Korea, the Philippines. Okinawa all over Asia, there were many comfort stations, kidnapping of young women, rape, some became 1 officer's mistress and maid, some put into houses and brothels with other women. Prices were charged in Yen.

For what? For being forcefully drafted by the Japanese imperialists and enslaved for sexual services to Japanese soldiers? The shameless Japanese and their right-wing politicians glorify their horrific war crimes and call victims of enforced sex slaves "prostitutes." Shame should be on you.
