The Philippines will have two Saints..first Saint Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila and now Blessed Pedro Calungsod.

A big wonderful news that bring pride and joy to the Catholic Filipinos...

The Vatican announced Tuesday that Blessed Pedro Calungsod of Cebu will be canonized as a saint for the Roman Catholic Church.

Once canonized, he will be the second Filipino Catholic saint following Saint Lorenzo Ruiz, who was elevated to sainthood in 1987.

According to Vatican’s news site, Pope Benedict XVI has officially approved the promulgation of decrees for canonization of Calungsod and six others who have been said to have performed miracles. No definite date, however, has been set for the canonization rites.

The authorized miracle of Blessed Pedro Calungsod reportedly happened in 2003 at a Cebu hospital when a woman who was clinically pronounced dead for two hours was allegedly brought back to life through the intercession of Calungsod.

The question is : Did the dead want to be saint? John Paul II might have wanted to be saint but not all the others like Mother Teresa...etc..

The Exam,

Only the living can desire sainthood!!! Only the living can seek the kingdom!!! The dead knows nothing underneath the sun!!! God's judgment on the dead shall be based on his works when still alive!!!

It is very surprising that the popes who are already called as the "Holy Fathers" and yet, the Catholic Church still would like them to be beatified and canonized!!! What then was the purpose of calling them "Holy" if there is still a need for them to become saints to be holy???

The Roman Catholic Church therefore is the religion of the warping brains!!!

Lol,

For hundreds of years the Roman Catholic Church administered the Philippines!!! And the country has millions of Catholics!!! Yet, only one was proclaimed a saint though there is a possibility of another!!!

What is worthy to mention is the non-existence of the "lolong bishops", the impregnated nuns, and "croc priests" in the roster!!! What happened to the role models???

Leadership by the Catholic Church in the Philippines is therefore dysfuntional!!! Producing just "one saint" is a sign of poor performance in carrying their oligations to mankind!!! There is a dereliction of duties!!! A failue in performance!!!

The Exam,

The Mormon cult baptize the dead while the Catholic Church baptize infants!!! Both the dead and the infants have no way of knowing the truth!!! False religions have different ways of executing their criminal intents!!! As always, these are diametrically opposed to the Scriptures!!!

We can't question the dead, but there is a long tedious process of the Vatican to declare a blessed dead person to be canonized as a saint like Saint Lorenzo Ruiz and now Blessed Pedro Calungsod. They have to verify 3 miracles that happened in their names.

Lol,

Why not just ask the doctors of the Philippine Mental Hospital if the dead could still make miracles??? For when Christ died, He never performed miracles but only when He was alive and after His resurrection!!!

A clinically dead person can still come back to life not because of a miracle but because she is actually not totally dead!!! There is no "rigor mortis" yet but actually the brain is still functioning!!!

Lol,

The Iglesia ni Cristo is not part and parcel of the Vatican scam, theatrics, and antics!!! The magnitude 7.9 earthquake just recently is a warning to Roman Catholics that He is very angry with you and your false gods!!!

Did you watched the news of GMA7 showing how your graven images came down from their pedestals just by a mere convulsion of the earth??? Catholic mortals brought them up again although a lot of these idols suffered brain damages though they have no brains at all!!!

Lol,

Thank you for admitting that we cannot question the dead!!! It only means that the "Mary Seen Everywhere" is a scam!!! And Pedro Calungsod has nothing to do with money-making venture of the Vatican!!! It is therefore unfair to use his name without him knowing it since he is dead and cannot complain!!!

Yes. I have heard about the 3 miracles that the going to be saint is supposed to have performed too. But since they are so determined that the person must be canonized they can always make them up. David Copperfield can perform miracles too.

Lol,

Thank you for not inviting me!!! I don't observe paganism:

"It is interesting to note how often our Church has availed herself of practices which were in common use among pagans...Thus it is true, in a certain sense, that certain Catholic rites and ceremonies are a reproduction of those of pagan creeds."

Reference:[Rt. Rev. Msgr. John F. Sullivan, D.D. The Externals of the Catholic Church, p.226]

We should stand to what the apostles taught:

"Here then is my word to you, and I urge it on you in the Lord's name: give up living as pagans do with their futile notions." [Eph. 4:17, Revised English Bible]

"Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, "Do not go beyond what is written'. Then you will not take pride in one man over against another." [1 Cor. 4:6, New International Version]

Note:
The Catholic Church has often borrowed from pagan rites and ceremonies. This is a violation of the Apostolic teaching that forbids Christians from living as the pagans do and from going beyond what is written in the Holy Scriptures.

The Exam,

A lot of these so-called miracles advertised by Catholics and Protestants are spurious!!! In these false religions, those who perform miracles are dead people while in the Scriptures, it is God who perform miracles and His messengers!!!

The Bible is replete with many examples of miraculous acts of God and His messengers for the benefit of His chosen people!!! But it should be noted that there are specific reasons for such deeds!!! During the patriarchal times, why did God do the famous parting of the Red Sea and the sending of the ten plagues to Egypt??? In Jeremiah 32:20-21, these questions are thoroughly answered:

"Long ago you performed miracles and wonders in Egypt, and you have continued to perform them to this day, both in Israel and among all the other nations, so that you are now known everywhere. By means of miracles and wonders that terrified our enemies, you used your power and might to bring your people Israel out of Egypt." (Today's English Version)

God performed miracles for Israel during Moses's time for the purpose of terrifying the enemies of His people so that they would be freed from bondage in Egypt!!! What about the works of wonders during the era of the Prophets??? What was God's reason for giving extraordinary strength to Samson??? Or the triumphant battle of David against Goliath??? Why did He permit Elijah to win against the prophets of Baal??? The Bible's reply to these questions is very frank and simple!!! In Apostle Paul's letter to the Corinthians, he wrote that the "Jews want miracles for proof..." (1 Cor. 1:22, Ibid.) To prove His love and compassion to the ones whom He made His covenant, the Almighty God made miracles for the Israelites!!! He made the impossible possible for the sake of His people

Christ did perform miracles but His miracles were not of His own but from God!!! Why did God allowed Christ to perform miracles to the Jews??? What was God's purpose in doing the miracles He did through His Son Jesus Christ??? Our Lord Jesus Christ answered:

"'Unless you people see miraculous signs and wonders,'Jesus told him,'you will never believe'." (John 4:48, New International Version)

The purpose of the first-century miracles was to make the people, particularly the Jews and the Gentiles [non-Jewish], believe and follow the Lord Jesus Christ. This point was also amplified by the pronouncement of Apostle Peter in Acts 2:22:

"Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know." (Ibid.)

The miracles were utilized by God to prove the authority of Jesus as His Son. They do not in any way make Christ a deity or God-Son; rather they prove His humanity. It is also very clear from these verses that the miracles of God in the Bible were for the needs and welfare of His people!!!

How can you look into the mirror, Prophet Elias?
You and people like you are feeding on the ingredients of ignorance and poverty, spice it with some fear and the promise of rewards in case of following the instructions, shake it well, throw this mixture into the eyes of your "flock" and those you would like to capture and tell those blinded people that your sect is the only true one (as thousands and upon thousands claimes before and still do).
From what money you built your so-called chapels?
I´ve been watching Filipinos getting out of the jeepneys or tricycles in from of your iniquities. Poor people looking for the last coins in their cheap toy-like plastic bags to pay their fares, skinny with tooth gaps. People so very susceptible for all the promises you make them.
Shame yourself into the ground, Prophet Elias! You know that you are sick, unfree and confined to your own lies. Do with your life whatsoever you want as long as you don´t harm somebody else. But exactly this is what you are doing! You are feeding on the poorest of the poor and even dare to be proud of that unscrupulous crime.
You know -as I do-, and that is a sad, sad fact that there will always be bites on the hook on which you fix your baits. But if only 1 person should start thinking, doubting and finally quitting your false sect, my words will have not been in vain.

"dog spelled backward",

Address your concern to the real criminals coming from the Catholics and Protestants for you and them are the problems!!! We share what we have to the poor by extending our helping hands to the needy before and after calamities!!! While you only talk a lot and bring vain false teachings not needed by the Filipinos!!!

You have done nothing to the world for thousands of years except to kill and maim innocent people!!!
