Of all couples, Asian husband, white wife couples are the HIGHEST earners out of everyone.

Congrats to the new masters of society!

http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/files/2012/02/...

Intermarriage and earnings. Couples formed between an Asian husband and a white wife topped the median earning list among all newlyweds in 2008-2010 ($71,800). During this period, white male newlyweds who married Asian, Hispanic or black spouses had higher combined earnings than did white male newlyweds who married a white spouse. As for white female newlyweds, those who married a Hispanic or black husband had somewhat lower combined earnings than those who “married in,” while those who married an Asian husband had significantly higher combined earnings.

Must correlate with the high divorce rates of WF/AM couples, as well as the decline in White female/Asian male couples.

10 yrs ago I researched the statistics of highest earners and highest educated. It turned out that asian american women at the time were the highest educated (gone the furthest, most difficult fields) but were NOT the highest earners. The highest earners were white males, then asian males, then white women, then asian women.
I have not been able to find the articles I cited. They may be out dated...
It doesn't matter though. Trends change continually. I see first hand my asian brothers marrying whites, having children with blacks, but it doesn't make me jealous. I'm happy for them if they still love/respect asian women.
The thing is, they still need to talk to me nicely.

(psssssss....... I'm just trying to put the white guys on this site in their place, as I am their superior)

Anyways, yeah, Asians have to be overqualified AND work harder just to be in the same position as whites.

And even then, when you hit your 40s, you will most likley be fired or be denied upper management positions because you are Asian.

I'm not worried about my 40's yet. I worked in a high level office in my early 20's. It was bs. I haven't worked in a cubby in years. I have to think outside the box. For me....

You know my feeling is, some and I say SOME of these white guys are coming from the school of thought of "me love you long time" and I feel sorry for any asiam woman who has low self esteem to get involved with them. But nowadays, I think asian women are smarter than our predecessors and if they do choose a white man as their husband it will be for love. And their white partner won't be a d%86. I think they may come from
I've been through this country and seen a lot of small towns. The rest of america is not like dc or new york, hawaii. Never really hung out in Cali but I have friends/relatives, I might make a trip out one day. There is diversity but from my perspective it's skewed. I hope things have changed since then but from this forum and other things I dont think so. It's good what you're trying to do, but I really don't think it's going to change things unless they want to change.

Huh? Whats skewed?

California has some of the most diverse areas in the WORLD. The Long Beach/South Bay area is considered to be THE most DIVERSE area in THE WORLD

Its good to be the most diverse in the WORLD. The WORLD is a BIG place. ;)

I also think it's important to have good relationships all around. It's not like you get married and you only have your partner. A healthy person should bond with others. Your marriage partner is the most important but we are social creatures and we need to have healthy ties- work, social, close friends, hobbies, politics, religion, neighbors, those relations need nurturing too

I don't, know what the problem is with am/wf to others. I see it happening. But then I'm from a metropolitan diverse area, I also see black-asians, asian-latinos.

Travel!

It's not a big deal in a, lot of places

I'm just saying, Long Beach/South Bay is the most DIVERSE in the WORLD.

My friends are from all backgrounds. And since everyone is a minority, everyone has a more equalized respect for everyone else. Its not skewed respect like the east coast.

One thing I noticed about east coasters when they move to LA is their subconsious tipping.

When a white guy delivers their pizza, they give good tip. When a mexican guy delivers it, they give crappier tip.

This is social programming. I make a conscious effort to tip equally.

California has more EQUAL respect for all ethnicities. East coast is more SKEWED RESPECT in favor of some over others.

^_^ but its all good! y0!

The small towns. Diversity is still there but equality is not completely there. But who knows maybe things have changed. When we experience things years ago we must be careful.

Tangent-

I dont know what you call it, but a lot of older generation asians still have ideals from the 60's in asia. Now even if they visit a homeland once in awhile, they don't experience social changes in ideals so they may be stuck in 60, 70's asia. They dont like modern usa but they dont know modern asia.

End of tangent.

Maybe small towns in u.s. Are not as ignorant as 8 yrs ago. Haven't been there, just been to the coasts lately and other big towns.

When was the last time you've been to the east coast. Read my other post about older asia generation remembering asia in the 60's and not how it is today.

I know.

Trust me. California blows away the east coast when it comes to equal respect for Asians.

Hawaii blows away California. I accept that.
