Thanks, that makes a lot of sense because those Amazonian ppl definitely look alot like some of the more primitive tribes from south east Asia. Austronesian and Mongolians/north/north-east Asians are two opposite types of Asians.

austronesians have more recent African lineage. They r like the link between mongol/north/north-east and Africans. Some tribes can look straight African and some can look straight asian, most are in between.

The Siberian Ice Age hypothesis
Anthropological and genetic evidence indicates that most Native American peoples descended from migrant peoples from North Asia (Siberia) who entered America across the Bering Strait or along the western coast of North America in at least three separate waves. In Brazil, particularly, most native tribes who were living in the land by 1500 are thought to be descended from the first Siberian wave of migrants, who are believed to have crossed the Bering Land Bridge at the end of the last Ice Age, between 13,000 and 17,000 years before the present. A migrant wave would have taken some time after initial entry to reach present-day Brazil, probably entering the Amazon River basin from the Northwest.(The second and third migratory waves from Siberia, which are thought to have generated the Athabaskan and Eskimo peoples, apparently did not reach farther than the southern United States and Canada, respectively).[citation needed]
An analysis of Amerindian Y-chromosome DNA indicates specific clustering of much of the South American population. The micro-satellite diversity and distributions of the Y lineage specific to South America indicates that certain Amerindian populations have been isolated since the initial colonization of the region.[6]
[edit]The Australian Aborigines hypothesis
The traditional view above has recently been challenged by findings of human remains in South America, which are claimed to be too old to fit this scenario—perhaps even 20,000 years old. Some recent finds (notably the Luzia skeleton in Lagoa Santa, Minas Gerais, Brazil analyzed by University of São Paulo, Professor Walter Neves) are claimed to be morphologically distinct from the Asian phenotype and are more similar to Australian Aborigines. These Americans would have been later displaced or absorbed by the Siberian immigrants. The distinctive natives of Tierra del Fuego, the southernmost tip of the American continent, may have been the last remains of those Aboriginal populations.
These early immigrants would have either crossed the ocean on rafts or boats, or traveled North along the Asian coast and entered America through the Bering Strait area, well before the Siberian waves. This theory is still resisted by many scientists chiefly because of the apparent difficulty of the trip. Some proposed theories involve a southward migration from or through Australia and Tasmania, hopping Subantarctic islands and then proceeding along the coast of Antarctica and/or southern ice sheets to the tip of South America at the time of the last glacial maximum.--WIKI

Basically some East Africans moved out to SE Asia/pacific and became the austronesians (considered: Porto-Mongoliod). Then some austronesians moved out further north to Mongolia/Altaic region starting with the nomadic hunter life then settled and became the northern/east Asians. (Chinese/Japanese/Koreans)

austronesians are different from northern or SE asians.

Modern day civilization began with Sumer.

Here is a well known, but controversial theory on the origins of Sumer.

That is one theory I heard. That SE Asians are proto-NE Asians. Not that I am a firm believer.

SE asia is pretty diverse with aborigines, austronesians, micronesians, and then vietnamese, burmese etc...

i don't think u can make the jump you just did with austronesian to ne asian, just because austronesians mixed with some se asian countries. even within austronesians itself, you have pretty varied, from australian aborigine all the way to ainu.

This is A-mei, an aboriginal Taiwanese singer. Smiley first sent this my way. I think this is the "typical" taiwanese/austronesian link in taiwan now because most are mixed with chinese or possibly japanese too. Interesting, the name too. Mei with A-mei instead of yun. in taiwan it is difficult to trace lineage as often families' sur names were changed by the government. This happened to my grandmother's family.

I was born in Taiwan as well but my grandparents from both sides left china more recent from 1947 to 1949 when the commies took over. My mom's side being from northern china, Shangdong (just west S korea) and my Dad's side from Fujian (very similar to Taiwanese, not the aboriginal) so he assimilated better. But one catch is I was born with full blown brownish-red hair which faded to black after a few haircuts kinda like some Mongolians and Uighurs so I may have some nomadic distant ancestors. My bro still has brownish-red beard which is also odd. I look at Taiwan as a refugee camp. When Ming dynasty fell to Manchurians, A lot fijianese hakkas cantos fled to SE Asia and Taiwan some northern Chinese even fled to koreA, then KMT brought more chinese from all areas to Taiwan 65 years ago. Now u have Taiwanese men getting Chinese/Vietnamese bribes and Taiwanese women getting white hubbies. So it will only become more mutty. Also small amount of Japanese mix during their half century reign.

I'm on the same camp as 1KA supporting more AM should get Russian bribes than other Asians. Taiwanese men should definitely look into that option. Though I think Vietnamese women are also hot, probably the hottest of Asians IMO. The ones I see in Westminster are hottest, especially in those coffee shops. Our old president Chiang Ching-kuo brought his russian wife with him to taiwan and had many off-springs, what a pioneer and role model. 1KA, u should look him up.:)
