They are a different breed of female. Korean wave is seperate from all other waves before it.

http://postfiles8.naver.net/20110613_7/huheun...

Look at this lady watching her favorite Korean males dance and sing on stage.

Otaku's don't cry. Otaku's body temperature doesn't rise from seeing Korean men on stage.

Look at her. She is on the Korean wave. On the Korean horse. Ride that Korean horse baby. Thats right.

Chow Yun Fat used to be big in Korea among the older generation.

Here's an interview he did recently in Korea. Talking about his Korean fans. Its pretty funny. He comes in around the 1 minute mark.

The majority of those who follow the Hallyu wave are the nerdy otaku kind.

However, this can be a positive as this is a way to get Asian contempory art to other places outside of Asia. This niche market may be a starting point for the future, where new forms of Asian contempory art can creep in more into bigger niche markets outside Asia, maybe leading to something else to enter more into the mainstream.

Dood, Otaku's are different. They dress in funky clothes and mimick cartoons.

Kpop fangirls scream like they would at Michael Jackson concerts.

Its different. They are FANGIRLS. Otaku's don't fight with each other over characters. FANGIRLS take sides on Big bang vs. SHINEE and hate each other to the point of real hatred. LOL

Kpop fangirls in Western countries are the nerdy type. Sorry man. I know that this is buwisit for us, but it is the truth. You wouldn't see hot chicks (e.g Hayden Pannetierre) screaming and cheering for Kpop stars such as V.O.S, or Tae.

Face it man, it is the nerdy or otaku women who are into Asian pop culture.

I am sure a lot are, but they aren't otakus.

They don't watch anime or manga. They watch Korean dramas and KPOP.

Watch this video. Do you see anything resembling otaku fashion or thinking?

The world moves fast. This is reality bro.

This is Korean fashion. A sample of a site.

This sort of fashion is seperate and different from Otaku wear.

Unless you think that lumpia are dim sum dumplings, because they are both from Asia? They are different. Very different.

Of hallyu fans from Europe, the closest ones I seen that act "Japanese" are these girls.

&pl aynext=1&list=PLFB65129AF6 034104

But you can see that they are imitating Korean singers, and are NOT acting NERDY OTAKU at all.

Okay, case closed.

Make no mistake. I am sure Japanese would want to claim these European ladies as their own, but Korea won their hearts.^_^

Those people dancing in that club are nerdy. Not otaku, but certainly not hot.

That blonde woman who has K-pop merchandise in her house, she is not hot.

Okay. As long as we can agree that they are not otaku, then its no big deal to me if they are hot or not.

there's a lot of ugly korean girls into kpop as well. whats the big deal.

By who's standard of beauty are we judging? Airbrushed, pro-edited beauty? Hollywood's botox and plastic surgery?

Real people are less beautiful b/c that's real life. It's like some girls with the make up off, or when the husband is hairy, big ass, big gut, bald.

Some of the girls were pretty in both clips posted. Look wise, I consider myself a 8.8 to a 9, and I think these girls are from the 8.0 to 10 range.

Face it 1 Korean Assh***, there is no difference between otaku and K-pop fans, aside from interest in TV shows and fashion (sometimes). They are all a bunch of unattractive, obsessive nerds. And you may not have manga, but you do have manhwa.

He agrees they are both nerds, just slightly different breeds/types of nerds. I still don't see a huge difference though.
