You know its just old money keeping the town down, its not part of WNXT (that thinks ABBA is still top 10 and popular) We live in kida a footloose town. If they were playing gospel on Sunday it would be ok. They need a change of venue for court... you know its not going to be a fair trial.

You know that Okerman built his apartments in DOWNTOWN, the Music Hall/Theater has been there HOW MUCH LONGER? Why should the entire region be penalised for OKERMAN's poor decision making. PLEASE if you support the Music hall, quit going to/spending money at the places who spoke out against it.

I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN BACK TO PORT CITY pub .........please join in and do the same. ITs is the only power the people of Scioto county have.

Get real. A country band should have never opened. I wonder what Drowning Pool thought? I bet they thought what lame fuckarounds.

These posts never cease to amaze me... First and foremost, there was NOT a country band that opened for Drowning Pool. Stillwater is a rock band that has opened for the Misfits, Bobaflex, etc.. They had many fans in attendance, and played a great set.. For anyone that thinks they are country, check em out on reverbnation. ZeroKing is also not country, check them out as well. Enough said...........

There seems to be zero organization at the Columbia this year. Didn't see ANY security at the show, and the line to the bar went all the way to the front door. And I agree, there never should have been a country band opening. Just like the opening acts they had for the Misfits. Horrible.

I didn't go to the show. I was going by what people said. I was wrong, I admit it. Stillwater is Southern Rock not Country. It's still an odd opening act, but it beats a country act.

Stillwater was pre approved by Drowning Pool.

Seven non uniformed staff there for security.

Had no trouble.

Raise caine about the guy that got beat half to death at another establishment this week? Thought not, only that you did not like a band the Columbia put on?

Sorry you did not like what we do/did but.... You could start your own venue and then you can do it your way.

Great job Lee.. Such great bands, and what a great combination of diversity for your first big show of the year. I think you are a genius for the selection of bands, as they were ALL great. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us next!!! With bands like Drowning Pool playing here, you will put Portsmouth on the map as a legitimate place for big bands to play. Thanks again, and keep up the great work!!!!!

Stillwater is an awesome band. I don't know why or how anyone could complain about them when they didn't even play for very long. They were even put on stage to early. The only complaint I have is that I'm upset I missed them... Seeing how that's the only reason I went :/ it was a waste of money for me.

Chrissy....come next time they play...on the house.

I am not the only reason the Columbia is there. We had many supporters and folks that helped build it. Lots of donated time and opms went into it. There wer five of us that really worked a lot to make it happen for a long time. Jo Haines, Shawn Powell, Richard Webb, Eddie Scott (son) and myself. The only ones left are my son and myself. The rest are now deceased. All at young ages. Kinda like most of the stars on our murals. The guy that did them and painted the front, Mark Tindall is now also gone.

There were people like Ebby Glockner, Howard Harcha Sr., Hershell Lott and so many more that gave us funds when we were down and out with no more materials that kept us going.

So you see, there are so many morethan I whom have dedicated so much to make this happen. Keep them in mind when you enjoy the next great show at the Columbia...they are coming.
