I'm a recent visitor to the site. Normally it would not be my nature to post. However, I am impressed by ur comment. The importance of EDUCATION should be stressed overall. The posting, murders and all that came and still comes with the game are lessons with negative results. Someone, please define the successful hustler. I had two mentors. Bob aka Sweetback (zack Robinson's lieutenant ), and Mr.Gene Gardner. It's good 'for me', to visit the past. But the past is the past. I am also mindful that my past has contributed to who I am today. And who I am today demands that I seek education in some shape form or manner. And to pass the 'jewel' on. Respectfully submitted.

Hey look. I got love for all the og's especially the black ones. They obtained the American dream at a time where blacks were locked outta mainstream America and had no other avenues to make money. Yea it might of been criminal what they did but this country was built on criminality. I wish more guys would walk around with pics of bumpy Johnson n pre wee kirkland on their shirts. At least they cared about their community. Capone n gotti didn't even like black people n they rockin shirts like they did. So to all the offended people my bad

After watching the Frank Matthews documentary I'm wondering what happened to him. The documentary clearly left out a ton and did a horrible job of explaining his dissappearence. I always heard something about Pee Wee taking a boat ride he never returned from. Anyone know?

People have stated for years that Frank Matthews is in Africa. I wonder if his mistress was with him. Her family says that haven't heard from her in 40 years. Their phones have been tapped and the FBI backs up their story. But there are always other ways to get a message to someone...

No one feel behind him? Granted they all did their time like men, but plenty went away for football numbers. He was surely one of the best to do it though.

I think he didn't want his girl to know he was going, knowing Cisco. I had just came home from the war and had a hard time readjusting but I really owe my survival to the streets. It seemed like the world had changed and I had stood still. But the game was still the game in 1970. Bat, I can see him now with those bat ears, and wide brim hat. Standing in major Cobb's garage on st Nicolas south of 45th street. Jerome is living in Memphis and comes to the city every now and then. My cousin told me he said that Memphis was as green as a pool table and twice as square...isn't a pool table a rectangle. lol. We at one time must have passed each other if you were in NYC between 1977 Till 1982.
I'd like to thank you homme, Mizzike for remembering the good days in the hood, Im from 141st. btween 7th & 8th aves. I hungout with theses cats, Bat Ross, Fat Stevie & went to the garden in the mid 70's to see Earth, Wind& Fire...we had a caravan rolling down 8th ave. going to the garden, about ten cars ! Small Paul was my dude, we hungout all the time ! Jerome Harris moved into Drew Hamilton, after Calvin took that...you know what I mean...But I didnt know Jerome bounced to Memphis though ! Do you remember Chic from Mike's bar ? May he rest in peace ! Do you remember when the big homme Bat got hit up ? when he was on the low, he was chilling wit me, Sheila too ! I'd like to thank you again for NOT forgetting about us my brother...much love & respect !
