I was there the final night. I agree with davidson that I have never seen or experienced something quite like that. It was breathtaking, inventive and for me full of yearning, sensuality and deep sadness.
I went in as a fan of the genius of maya Beiser and left with even deeper admiration for her inventiveness. I hope like, davidson, that the idea, a cello opera, that Beiser imagined would indeed endure and thrive as a new concert genre.
