Saw the show at the Grove in Anaheim.
It has been a long time in coming for Ian ANderson to tour his acoustic music which in my opinion displays his best talent. The show was sensational. He did "Fat Man, Bouree, Jack in the Green, Jeffrey Goes to Lancheister Square, Some Day the Sun Won't Shine For You, Wondrin Aloud, My God and several other numbers. The one dissappointment was the ending when he finished by leaving the acoustic material and going for the overplayed commercial rock anthems - Aqualung and Locomtive Breath. These numbers really don't belong in this tour and should be replaced with Look Into The Sun, Reasons For Waiting, Salamander, Sossity, or any other acoustic piece that better fits his extraordinary range of beautiful acoustic music. |
