Kenny G's music is banal. While technically proficient, his compositions and published recordings are slightly more melodic than a tuned chain-saw. Cats and dogs head for the exits when he plays. You should too.

Though I'm not a big Kenny G fan, I applaud him for his stand. Why do the big heads think that Barry Manilow and Rod Stewart should be relegated to doing cover albums instead of original albums? These guys are lengendary artists who are way too talented to be doing cover albums. They have fans in the millions who would scope up any original materials. Barry Manilow is a Song-Writer Hall of Fame inductee. Rod Stewart is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. They sold millions doing their own thing. The young generation should have the opportunity to hear what great music really should sound. Not the garbage that's out there.

I am inspired by Kenny G's originality! I am much original with all of my music endeavors also! And I perform lots of local New Orleanians and even Kenny G's footsteps using my God-given vocals! Smiles

I enjoy Kenny G and find his music very relaxing, I purchased one of his cd's for my mother for Christmas and she also loves his music, and considers Kenny G a very talented man !

I'd never heard of him until I saw this thread, so I looked him up and listened to his music. I think he's good. What's wrong with him that people don't like?

I listened to his music and liked it. How is that ill-informed? Am I supposed to know more about a musician than his music?

Glad to see Kenny coming back to his own music, which is what I fell in love with. I truly get tired of music that isn't unique.
