Theaters, concert halls, and the lock should have signal blockers that prevent calls from either being made or received since people are so rude and inconsiderate about their phone

Of course, the worst phone incident I ever witnessed was at a funeral. The phone had an obnoxious ringtone and went off in the middle of the service. And, when the owner turned the phone off, it played an even more obnoxious tone.

Nice to come across an imaginative priest
now and then.
I'll bet there were some wide-eyed kids THAT day; good for him.

We have made stupidity newsworthy.
And regarding the ridiculous assertion re the upper class, the amount of phoning texting etc that occurs regularly in movie theaters is outrageous.
And driving... And supermarkets, and during sex, and in outerfknspace!

Of course making a mocking remark about the sexually disordered, authoritarian, misogynistic RCC isn't really mean to be funny, is it? I mean, speaking of stupid.

Did you post something funny...ever? I'll go back and read this thread to search for clues....

Do you really want to know? They probably use the phone during sex, but they don't pick up. They just let it vibrate.

Hey, maybe it is time to come up with a cell phone concert. I think a group tried that with iPhones once after someone stole their instruments.

Good for Mr. Gilbert! He should have asked the phone and owner be removed together before continuing.
It's time people realized they have no right to impose their private life into public venues. This incident goes beyond the question of manners. You buy tickets for a performance, you leave the phone locked in the car or turned off. You can't part with it that long, don't go! Others also paid for tickets. The performers worked long and hard to present enjoyable listening,.. you cell ring is not on the program.
Cell phones addicts who are oblivious to others in certain public arenas push my button. The last funeral I attended, two, not one, cell phones rang during the ceremony. Unbelieveable!
I agree with you, and especially at funerals. How inconsiderate!
Imagine if the deceased was inadvertently placed into the coffin with his cell phone turned on......and then someone left a message to be called back.

Wonder if the ringtone was the "old phone" tone. If it was,it would be the "loudest" tone in an iPhone.
LOL. I was just thinking that it must've been one hell of a loud ring tone :)
