Chicago Symphony Orchestra names Riccardo Muti music director

Italian conductor Riccardo Muti has been appointed the 10th music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Riccardo will be perfect here and a tremendous asset to our CSO. How refreshing to have such a genuinely talented and personable conductor! Encore Encore!!!!

Does anybody know if he still performs on piano? Or maybe even conducts from the piano like Daniel Barenboim?

I enjoyed Riccardo's interview on WFMT last night.
