"The Last To Know"
Although I thought the "story within a story" plot was imaginative and different, I found I became increasingly irritated by the number of times someone "rolled" their eyes. On page 2 Anna inwardly "rolled her eyes" and page 9 Eve "rolled her eyes" . From that time on I was aware of it and it seemed as if all the characters could not have any conversation without at some point rolling their eyes - argh!! Even at the end of the book, Julie "rolled her eyes"! It did spoil an enjoyable story - it seems like sloppy checking to me and surely someone at the publishing house should have picked this up, if an ordinary reader like me could? Would someone not proof read it before it is published?
