As we pay tribute to mothers this Sunday, consider for a moment the unsung heroes of Mother's Day : greeting-card writers.

As a poet self employed, endless folk ask where to buy the cards or poems I create.

I often send orders for literal hundreds of thousands of my verses to greeting card companies to recieve no reply at all.

Is demand really what public want or is it an office worker oblivious to such orders and their profit scale, or perhaps an editor who wants what he likes regardless of public opinion?
