Charlene Fix is an inspiring colleague, friend and teacher. Her poetry blows the top of my proverbial Dickinson head off each time I hear it read. So happy to see this article.

The dog is in the poems, and he is a very nice dog, but the poems bring us what dogs bring us, which is life in all its better and deeper manifestations. Read the poems and see if I'm lying.
