Board talks trash and poetry

The Lake County Board of Supervisors took a first step in the fight against invasive freshwater mussels, talked trash and appointed a poet laureate at its Tuesday meeting.

I would very much like to see a ruling on the Waste Solution Trash containers being removed from view by sunset on the day of pick up. Some people park their trash bens on the street and never move them....THEY ARE UGLY AND AN EYE SORE!
If they are to be left on the street, then some sort of decent looking structure should be put up to conseal them.

As far as the boat inspection stations go,
three stations would be all that was needed. One on each entrance to Lake County, Highway 20 at both ends and one on highway 29 south of Lower Lake.

A "Poet Laureate"? is that going to be a county paid position? DOH! i KNEW i should've stuck around.....had i known i might have a chance for an appointment as "Traveling Minstrel / Musician"! Is there a vacant seat for that?? Cause i'd consider coming back.......LOL!
