I really don't care what kind of association it is. I am all for a whatever association you want so long as it respects my good interest. And according to some of the people on here it isn't ok. Just simply emotional and irrational behavior. I respect your pass on the last comment, it was pathetic? wasn't it?

I think the idea here is that there are race specific associations that play a huge part in the work place and they are not considered racist until the word "white" is used. Can you explain to me why it is okey to have black associations, asian associations, hispanic associations by not a white association? I will pass on your last comment because it is pathetic.

And to answer your question it is not ok. There are many poor disadvantaged white men and women out there that need much more help than some minorities. But what a real man does is stop complaining about the inequalities, the haves and the have nots and actually do something to make them a better person. I personally know some of those people; they never blamed their ills on others. Now they are very succesful.

'been there' said it better than I did. Associations is correct, not 'segments.' I once belonged to a union that had two hispanic and one black association. One of my fellow employees raised the question to start a caucasian association and was flatly told by a union official,'that would be racist.'
In order to maintain my personal privacy, I decline naming the union.

If there is an association that promotes only one race, then they can hardly respect your interest if you are of a different race. Mild comments, comments that are respectfull do not get the response that make this topix go around. It is easy to get caught up in it(I have), but most posters do not have the ability to admit they overstepped, and because of that they lack credibility (at least to me), so my hat is off to you and may we continue discussing issues in a respectfull manner.
