Photo Shows Emily Dickenson...And Her Lesiban Lover?
One of the big problems with discovering if someone in the past was or was not what we, today, would think of as homosexual is the fact that very few people recorded their connections with someone of the same sex due to the taboos that were involved.

Oh, good lord. What, pray tell is a "Lesiban"?
As for Emily, I am not real surprised. She was a proper Victorian "maiden", code word for **lesbian**.
As a long time English major I read a lot of her works and her keen insight in her love poems make it clear that she had SOME kind of passion in her life. I'm glad she did and was not just imagining it or living second hand!

a Lesiban is a code word for 'the author is mildly dyslexic/dysgraphic and can't see when she makes a typo unless there's a red squiggly under it.'
I've corrected it, thank you.
