People who consider this photo to be wrong, near-pornographic, obscene or anything else must have very dirty minds. It is because they WANT to see something out of nothing and when it's not there, they have to pretend it's there for their own sick amusement. Don't let them fool you by saying the photo is dirty or obscene. It is all a matter of opinion. Annie says it's art, then that is her opinion and that's how she sees it. Just because you disagree doesn't mean you can turn an innocent photo into this huge debate.

what a nasty way to get money!! MILEY
I hate to say this but it is sad that another hollywood star has turned into a slut!!!! |
|
|
Then by all means find another planet to live on. If that is what's considered slutty nowadays I wonder what is considered kinky? Pampers commercials?

No I don't think I should. I think that the masses of brainwashed bible thumping Bushbots need a good deprogramming so they can see that not all the world is out to contaminate your little crumbsnatchers with EEEEEVVVVIIILLL.

I would think that you being a teacher...could have made your point a little more eloquently...I cant hear your opinion over all the unnecessary cursing. |
|
You work as a teacher in a preschool? Do all the teachers speak with the same command of the English language as you do? Where is this school,'cause people need to know who their teachers are!! I certainly don't want you near my children. |

there is nothing sexual about that pic. The girl is ugly. She looks just like billy but only with a better mullett.

I'm a heterosexual grandfather, stilI interested in sex, but I, can't find anything even mildly erotic about ANY of the photos of that young lady, whom my own grand-daughter so idealizes. The topless one reminds me of a famous painting I saw somewhere. It's NOT erotic! It speaks to the vulnerability of INNOCENCE, of Eve,(not Lolita!), as did the painting. Even the photo with the bra, exposes less flesh than a prom dress, might. It's playful innocence, and believe me I've seen and responded to allure. It's NOT there.
I am sickened by people who for some reason want to focus their libido on a child, who's still trying to establish behavioral boundaries. Granted, it is, has always been, a time fraught with danger for the developing teenager who doesn't grasp the dangers, and that's what adults are there for, especially parents, as protectors. As far as I am concerned, the child didn't do anything wrong, and this is the kind of attention that twists the developing mind into weird shapes, and creates tensions that they then try to relieve, or confront, with drug taking and wild partying. As far as the pictures with her father is concerned, again I can't see the big deal. As long as he refrains from touching or ogling any erogenous areas, and vice versa, a girl needs to feel as non-sexual in her father's presence as she did as a girl. One of the most touching photos forever imprinted on my mind is that of a beautiful 16 year old girl, arms spread wide, leaping into her father's arms as her returns from the war in Vietnam. Even so, I admit to being surprised when a very normal young woman I was intimate with, recounted how she showed her father a little swelling on her breast as a teenager, and that he touched it and told her that it didn't feel like the lump in her late mother's breast when she contracted cancer, but that he would take her to a doctor if it was still there two days later. But then I realized how terrified she must have been, and I could see what a healthy stress-free relationship she had developed with the father who raised her. None of this is possible in America today, I'm afraid. We have become one sick society! |

Thanks a million to you, Carib. I mean that honestly. Americans are so preoccupied with sex that any innocent picture that shows any skin with a young girl and suddenly, it's "pornographic". By the way, the young woman with the swelling breast...did she survive and get treated with on time before it became serious?
|
|
yes it is too much for her younger fans, but i do not believe she meqant anything bad, leave the girl be

I'm sorry, Carib. I didn't read all of it. I just skimmed it when I asked if the young woman survived. I can imagine how scared she must have been to face that kind of thing after her mother died from breast cancer. She might have died, too, but it seems to me that she's probably okay now from what you said. The photo of the 16 year old hugging her dad after returning from the Vietnam War sounds sad, but I haven't actually seen the photo itself. Carib...you're a good person with a big heart. Not many others are like you, I'm sorry to say.

What's really sad is your daughter looking up to a fictitious character, without understanding the difference between reality and make believe. It's one thing to be entertained by actors playing a role, it's quite another to use them as an idol. She may as well have picked Sponge-Bob. |

KUDOS. Annie Lebowitz will be remembered like Diane Arbus. I would love to meet her and own a piece of her work. Original piece what would that cost??? |

Yes, it is a beautiful photo - but it should have remained in the parents house, not in a public magazine where kids who use her as a role model will see it. This says to them "Hey, it's ok to take your shirt off." Do you want your daughter to think along those lines? I don't think so. |
