One has to wonder

Just what exactly is it with Annie Leibovitz and her apparent penchent for shooting nude/half nude women and young girls? Art? yeah right.

Billy the one hit wonder Mullet Cyrus is just still cashing in since he surely can't do anything constructive on his own anymore to make money. Travis Tritt was 100% correct about Billy the Mullet.

In a few months, she'll be a has-been. If I had children, they would no longer be allowed to watch anything with her in it. She's a supposed role model and I wouldn't want my kids to follow in that role.

Jesus H. Ch...! All you can see is the girls back. I'm sure any dress that she would wear to an awards show would reveal more. Seriously, has the world no other problems that we need to create fake ones just so we have something to talk about? And the parents were standing right there during the photo shoot. It's called letting your daughter be normal in this overprotective, lock everything up, don't have any fun world we've created. Just because she poses for a picture doesn't mean she slept with every guy she sees. And for those of you "redneck" bashers, I'm sure they're making more money than you. So make fun all you want, they're laughing all the way to the bank.

wooo hooooooooo way to go Miley. YOU are awsome. All these dumb ppl need to shut the hell up. Its a normal picture. Would it be better if she owre thing underwear in the photo too.... ohh yeahhhhhhh!!! GROW UP!

|
haha

And all you parents that say I wouldn't let my kids watch her shows now need to grow up. You BETTER not let your daughter where a prom dress in HS cause it's just as revealing as the damn sheet photo!!! Better yet why don't you shelter your eyes and your children's eyes of all this stuff so that when they grow up and see something normal in life they throw a bitch fit because it shows to much skin. Maybe you should live in a bubble all your life. Take it somewhere else!

Makes her look like a TRAMP! What else needs to be said!LMAO

Well, Hannah Montana is off my Tivo! My daughter really looks up to her. It's sad that she seems to be going the way of Spears and Lohan.

Even all the apologzing Miley and Billy Ray are doing are only give these pictures more press.
Shame on Vanity Fair Shame on Billy Ray (and his wife) Miley, your parents should have known better. What bothers me the most is that your dad would pimp you out like this when your career was doing just fine and did not need a shot of this bad medicine.
Didn't they just remove 350 children under the age of 16 from a Texas compound?
Billy Ray your timing is just really atrocious.

Why isn't Vanity Fair apologizing?

It's a beautiful photo. Anyone objecting is in serious need of a life and an aesthetic view. Get real.

I know Annie Leibovitz can recall when photography wasn't considered "Art." It was either advertising or a medium for recording history.
So progress has been made, now we argue about taste. Annie Leibovitz created a classic portrait based on hundreds of years of Western culture. And she did it well.
Your 13 year olds' standards are your creation and your problem, not hers.

Billy Ray and Miley's defenders seem to forget the picture where she is sprawled across his lap in a pose that looks like the start of a spread in an adult magazine. It's just plain wrong.

That is when you close the magazine. Much in the same way you turn off the tv and radio when you hear something you don't like or click the little "x" on the web when something offensive goes into your view. Or dig a big hole, jump in and cover with cement.

Shock does not always equal value. This is the same photographer who asked the Queen of England to trot a horse inside her palace and get up on it in full regalia in her parlor. The Queen was not afraid to tell Annie L.-- NO.

Havent seen the pictures but I recently purchased a "talking" Miley poster for my 9 year old...imagine my surprise when my little girl started using the term "friggin awesome"... literally...turns out its a line from the talking poster.."This is friggin awesome..." Needless to say the poster went in the trash.
