It's not going to get any better. At the heart is how to read and understand the Bible. Is the Bible going to be the authority in the church or are social mores going to be the authority in the church or a combination of the two? The liberals have divided, taken over and plundered TEC or other churches (ELCA, PC-USA, UCC, etc.). There is no turning back. Most conservatives have cut their losses, left and started over. It is surprising that the "south of the equator" bishops and dioceses have not already broken with the theological stench of Canterbury and even worse theology which is TEC leadership. The only good news is that lay people are smart enough to leave their bumbling clergy.
