He actually told the man it was "illegal" to take a picture of a cop? He sounds like a bully who should be enlightened on the rights of American citizens. I don't know the man who took the picture, but I think it is outrageous that law-enforcement in Johnson County thinks this type of behavior is okay.

I'm a local and know (of) these people.
A good standby, the obstruction of a police officer, is probably what he should have charged the passerby with---and especially if he believed a laser light was involved.
I prefer a system of law and order rather than a world run by this photographer/nut.
If the officer was flustered and made a mistake with charges, that is understandable and my sympathy is with him. This piece of detritus that was blown this way from out of state could go back, along with his photo phone, but he probably didn't get along any better there. That is probably why he is here.
