Is this senseless act symptomatic of a deeper malady that is affecting our society? Creativity and talent are given less and less credence in our arts world; making money is the new goal for arts organizations. If a display is viewed as being "free of charge", then it must not be worth anything. We the people need to begin to pay more attention to the dumbing down that permeates our culture. In the end, this is what will destroy our way of life.

The person or people involved with this tragic crime should do very hard time. This is plain wrong.

I am an artist who often has public displays. I accept when I offer my work to view, I have to sign a release, that the host is not held liable for any loss, stolen, or vandalism.
It horrible any work of art may be destroyed by mentaly sick socialpaths.
I agree with Pat the Painter.
The perp should be given a judgement of very hard time with publicity.
I suspect these are the same type who tip over tombstones.

That's pretty deep. Right on though. What is going on in south county, you guys have this wave of misguided youth? Pay attention parents there's something in air. You have all these "privileged kids" who think they're thugs. Scared straight may work. Let them see where thugs end up and how they live maybe there's still a chance for some.

We have a portion of our people who have limited mental capacity. They spend their time playing video games such as Car Stealing, bashing victims, especially women..
As a kid I would see Cowboy movies, go home and "play cowboys". I would see war movies, go home and play soldiers.
That's what kids do.
Today, these antisocial video games, movies, TV Shows, opens up, down a path to uncivil cruel actions.
Remove respect and reaction will be ruination.

This is terrible. Anytime something nice comes to the Berkshires someone always trys to ruin it. Its no wonder the Berkshires don't do more things for the public. I hope they find out who did this and get the panel fixed.
