That name has been created, glorified and copyrighted by Greeks since BC times.
So, no Macedonia for civilized non-Greek people. |

Milososki asks for a "Reasonable" deal with Greece:
http://www.balkaninsight.com/en/main/news/122... WOW!!! Looks like there is a change of tune, huh?!?!? Mr Milososki wants a "reasonable deal" with Athens now? NO MORE EXPANSIONISTIC IDEAS? WHY THE CHANGE OF HEART!?!?! What happened? Did the US Ambassador tell you to STFU with the "Macedonian Minorities" letters that Mr Gruevski was sending to everyone everywhere? Could it be that all of a sudden the ALBANIAN POPULATIONS and the BULGARIAN LANGUAGE issues became an even BIGGER factor now? I say let the thieves of history (Greek), religion (Serbian) and Language (Bulgarians rot. Considering that more and more Albanians are entering the country, and that more are leaving to become BULGARIAN AGAIN, I say DON'T AGREE TO ANYTHING NOW. Let the pressure get so big, that the nation implodes and the region goes back to Albania and Bulgaria....their RIGHTFULL owners. ........."reasonable deal".....what a joke this Mr Milososki is now. Let the BEGGING TO GREECE BEGIN! |

Commentary Notes Conflict of US, EU Interests in Macedonia
By: iStockAnalyst Monday, August 04, 2008 1:53 PM http://www.istockanalyst.com/article/viewiSto ...# Many Valid Points The commentary provided by Mirka Velinovska has many vaild points pertaining to the role that the whole Balkan region plays in the ability for the United States to position itself strategically relative to the Middle East..... With the Fall of Communism in 1990, James Baker's first diplomatic trip to the Balkan region was to Tirana Albania, and clearly was a deliberate move considering that the first Persian Gulf War was fresh in the minds of many political and military strategists...... While the recent row between Greece and FYROM/Republic of Macedonia was escalated by the Bush Administration's desire to punish the Greek population for expressing their disapproval of the Iraq war during the summer Olympics of 2004, the fact of the matter is that nations like Albania have always had a more strategic significance to the USA due to the fact that as a nation they are not landlocked by all the neighboring countries in the region. The fact that the Albanian nation is more stable with respect to ethnic tensions due to their considerable homogenized population within their boundaries, the Republic of Macedonia/FYROM does not have the same lustre as a stable nation to support the US in the region...... While traditional NATO allies Greece and Turkey are also available, it would be nations like recently NATO added countries like Bulgaria, Romania and Albania that would have a "less questions" attitude to the current US foreign policy, and use their current diplomatic positions to bright to light the ethnic issues that plague the current Republic of Macedonia/FYROM, as seen with the violence towards the Albanians in the West of the nation, and the gradual increase of citizens returing to Bulgaria and proclaiming "Bulgarian Origin" in order to obtain EU citizenship...... What will happen to the Republic of Macedonia/FYROM in the next 4 years hinges greatly on the outcome of the following US presidential elections. Should there be a clean sweep by the Democrats, one would think the current strategy of the Bush administration would go out the window..... Should the Republican party control the Presidency, many difficulties would continue to plague this plan, but it still would be enacted on in order to provide support to the Republican-Bush foreign agenda, with increased strain from Congress though.... Added strain from the EU would cause even greater problems for this current form of the agenda as well. |
