I've gone almost every year since they were in a small room at the Civic Center. It was still wonderful and inspiring, albeit maybe a little corporate.

Obviously you are not an appreciative, educated or unbiased invidual. It would seem that you posess the "sour grapes" attitude due to the TSO choosing Las Cruces over El Paso. Im not sure who passed and made you the "The Critic God" but whoever it was, displayed poor judgment in their decision. Maybe you should switch your venue to something more suitable to your taste, say for instance, a flower show... In past years you seem to have supported TSO's performances. Let's see, what's changed this year? Ah yes, performed in Las Cruces. So, get over it! Yours is one opinion and quite frankly, we all know about opinions--everyone has one...

TSO Sucks! They are nothing more than fake metal and fake orchestra music. God you people, get some sense of what music should be. TSO is John Tesh and Kenny G. on steroids. Crap.

EPT wrote, "New violinists Roddy Chang and Caitlin Moe didn't plenty of running and jumping ..."

Get your names straight. It is Roddy CHONG!! Where could you have possibly gotten his name wrong, this isn't Roddy's first time around the block. Where do you people do your research?

This was my 6th consecutive TSO concert in as many years. I have to agree, the show didn't pack the punch that past shows have but, hey, when viewed in it's entirety the performance was worth every dollar I spent to attend.

I just noticed my location was given as Wimberely, TX. I don't even know where that is. I live in El Paso, TX.

I don't know how you can seriously review a cheese-fest like TSO. This kind of pseudo-rock, faux-symphonic show is not really music as much as it is a sampling of musical styles presented in a tacky 80s lights and explosions visual assault. I can imagine the kind of audience involved here, and don't want to be anywhere near that element...

TSO provides entertainment that the whole family can enjoy. I guess since there is no profanity, drug usage or sex displayed in their concerts, it doesn't interest certain people but that just speaks for what they consider entertainment. My whole family from my Grandmother to my 5 year old son enjoy the music, story telling and show that is put on every single year. We will continue going to their shows and appreciate that there is a band that realizes that they do not have to use the "F" word to make their music sell.

Maybe you should just go to a Korn show instead! There is a lot of music out there that I think Sucks,(like Katy Perry for instance.) But rather than waste my time going on and on about how much they suck, I choose to listen to music that doesn't suck!

The only thing fake here is You!

Want real music? Try Dream Theater. These guys are unreal. There's also Porcupine Tree, Transatlantic, Spock's Beard and many others. TSO is gay metal.

I also dont understand why people waste their time and go on and on about how they hate a particular group such as this one and how they feel they suck and so on and so forth. If you hate it this much why do you even bother to post it? If you hate it that much dont even bother caring then.
I went for the first time yesterday and enjoyed the show so much and hope they come many more years in the future because this is something i would really like to go to every year!

I think the writer was having an off night. I was at the 4p.m. show and was blown away by all aspects of the show. I also had a friend who went to the 8p.m. show and was impressed as well. This article is quite harsh and undeserving. If you watch a few clips on youtube you will see that the show is the same show they put on almost every night in city after city.

That's why Petrucci, Portnoy, Rudess, and Myung have all been given the highest awards in their respective instruments.(Google them). Stick to your romantic John Tesh music and STFU. Before you post your moronic comments, know what you are talking about.

CHILDHOOD, CHILDHOOD, CHILDHOOD, CHILDHOOD, ad nauseum. TSO's Night Castle has to be one of the worst CD's of all time. TSO is gay music. Just like the gay name Vixy.

Dream Theater does suck. Sure they may have awards as individuals but the band as a whole sucks, and last time i checked awards from a magazine aren't really awards are they? Plus they have a guy playing a keytar which is the gayest instrument of all. TSO makes more money in their 2 month tour than Dream Theater does in years. TSO had one of the highest grossing tours last year.
