Reasonable people, sinister logic

If an author can't make the Oprah cut, the next best thing may be getting censured by a university.

Good lord - people have waaaaay to much time on their hands if they have enough time to get offended by something like this. No one is guaranteed the right not to be offended.

I've heard of judging a book by it's cover, but this is ridiculous!

If those offended would have bothered to read the title of the book, they would have seen that the Klan came out the worse for wear, and were fully exposed. Maybe the agrieved party in this instance is actually offended that the Klan is an equal opportunity hater, with Irish-Catholics as their target. In any event, this incident does not speak well for free inquiry and accademic integrity at Perdue.

Note to any would be authors: if your book deals with 'sensitive' issues, be sure to have non offensive cover art and title it benignly. Don't offend those who are least likely to read your book anyway.

I always love when "conservatives" like Ms.Parker discover the First Amendment! It's my favorite amendment, too!
