Chicago dance innovator dies

Gus Giordano not only launched his own popular, Evanston-based troupe, but he's one of the originators of the stylistic innovation now known worldwide as jazz dance.

Gus was my teacher's teacher. Patti Rutland-Simpson (company, Patti Rutland Jazz) continues to share her interpretations of his unique style. He was loved as an innovator in the jazz dance world and will be greatly missed.
