On of the best Prime Minister and gentleman in the History of India who has taken India on new highs of economic growth.

Moreover, honest and down to earth person who will always be remembered in the history of India,

Indeed, one of the best Prime Ministers India has ever had. A thorough gentleman, simple, honest, non-corrupt, soft spoken, non-abrasive, and, above all, not a Goonda like all other Indian politicians. To top it all, he was a very accomplished economist who lifted Indian economy to the modern world stage and tried to take it out of the clutches of Permit Raj. Too bad the Nehru family and all its sycophants (chamchas) and other goondas in Congress, did not allow him to do his work -- or India would have reached great heights by now.

Absolutely useless, sheer waste of 10+ years, sat on the throne controlled by the dynasty family, under the regime rampant corruption and scams went unchallenged, India suffered, in outwardly strength, treasury got robbed and the Swiss bank swelled in the large part for the corrupt congress including the dynastic family. This guys does not deserve any respect, he with his puppet master and the congress party as a whole needs to be eradicated from the Indian politics for good. Time to bring in true democracy to India, down with MMS/Congress and Dynasty.

I hope history will give him the credit which is due for HIM.As he was not a politician, but his experience as a economist....& being a head of Reserve Bankof INDIA,Dy.Chairman of Planning Commision, finance minister & experience with IMF,made him one of the best & educated P.M. of INDIA.

When the world economy was in great danger,he saved INDIA,& BROUGHT BACK the gold from U.K( pledged by previous GOVTfor not making the payment of debtas GOVT KHAZANA WAS EMPTY)).& got it released ,but still kept it there to earn intrest, to be brought back to INDIA lateron...Even during his tenure INDIA bought tons of gold around$1100/- from IMF making INDIA IN 10TH POSITION OF gold holding in the world,& at a time when RUPPE RATE WAS AROUND 45per DOLLAR.Even CANADA has sold the gold during that turmoil of recession to slip to around 69th position of the GOLD HOLDING OF THE WORLD.

World has recoganized his ability,as president OBAMA had said when INDIAN P.M. speaks the whole world listens to HIM (perhaps except INDIA.which do not want it).As in a G-20 SUMMIT WHEN THEY WANTED TO WIDRAW THE STIMULATION PAKAGES FROM RHW COMPANIES,he advised that it should not be done ,as it will lead to deep recession ,which might take years to recover.
During his leadership, many comapnies like INFOSIS & TATA MOTORS became global enriching INDIAN ECONOMY in a big way.
This election of 2014 was between MODI OF BJP V/S RAHUL OF CONGRESS...LIKE A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF USA..where as 2009 election was Dr. M.M. SINGH as P.M.of UPA/CONGRESS & everybody saw the result.
He remained for 10 years & saved INDIA from the uncertainity & 3rd election during this it is really very didfficult ot work in a collision GOVT.
I will like to share the words/ARTICLE of KARAN THAPAR ...
("What will you miss about Dr Manmohan Singh?")
I would sum them up in two simple words: Iíll miss Dr Manmohan Singhís quiet dignity. No matter from what vantage point you view him, I believe itís this quality that stands out.
As head of government he was never strident or aggressive. He didnít hog the news or demand the last word. He made his point quietly. He avoided polemics. He spoke in gentle metaphors. It might not have been memorable. It may not even have been effective. But it was always dignified.

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder and Iím sure many of us will miss his quiet dignity. It may not be a great legacy for a prime minister. It is, however, testament to an honourable man.If one is not a rascal or arrogant in politics does it mean that one is weak.

We identified it as the quality of a puppet. Of a man who consciously chose not to speak because he didnít want to contradict. Of a man who refused to stand up because he knew he would be pushed down. We saw Dr Manmohan Singhís quiet dignity as camouflage for his invidious predicament.

But I canít think of a moment when that could be said of Dr Manmohan Singh. Do you remember him angry? Haughty? Rude? Loud? Or just behaving badly?

Agree with Rama Parsad and Vijay above. PM Manmohan Singh has more positives than negatives. Considering ONE good person surrounded by lots of Goondas, he still managed to accomplished a lot. Don't forget those good economic moves, India came out as an achiever under his rule. India has more respect in the world now, India is being seen as world power because of him. Lets not forget the nuclear power deal with US which has changed India forever. Time will tell how good Modi is, more ministers (Goondas) will be in his cabinet who have criminal charges against them. I wish him well, hopefully he will do some good deeds and focus on economy, jobs, infrastructure and good & effective foreign policy. Don't be closed minded like Desi above, who always picks the negatives and forgets the positives.

Mr DESI , U are right ,those 10 years were complete waste if not only waste..i.e why the OUR ALL DESIES/ INDIANS after voting Dr.SINGH as P.M. in pletely wiped out in 2014 CONGRESS OF RAHUL GANDHI.I THINK IF IT WOULD HAVE BEEN Congress of Dr.MM.SINGH at least it would have got some seats to be at least the main opposition party. For ur information as 10% of total seats are requIred if even on second position U have to take 10%..of the total seats of PARLIAMENT.As JAYLALITA JI OF Tamilnadu & MAMTA JI of West Bengale have congratulated each other & perhaps may join hands to have a berth for the main opposition party ,whose leader gets the all of the facilities of a CABINET MINISTER...
I wish that they nominate U for the same,at least,as P.M. POST IS FILLED & there is as usual big struggle for CABINET POSTS ( Me& perhaps U have no chance for that) so after this SUNAMI U may again say that these 5 years of under MODI SAHIB were waste.I firmly believe that this SUNAMI will at least there for another 10 years.,

MMS ran the nation for ten years and these years will be regarded later by history as one of the best.
For all of you who think that it was a waste of 10 good years, need a reality check.
1. India is an very unstable country and holding it together as a union is extremely difficult.
2. India it a backward nation and making it is progressive nation overnight, by changing the mindset is next to impossible.
3. India is poor country in spite of all the billionaires that are making money hand over fist at the expense of the poor.
4. We have replaced an economist with a chaiwalla. I dont have much faith in a chaiwalla.
5. Brahmin fundamentalism can fool people for only so long and it will spell the doom of Brahmism and India.

Manmohan SIngh is equally guilt because he knowingly allowed corruption under his own eyes.

He was just a seat warmer for rahul gandhi. Never won even a municipal election. How can such a man can a PM of 1.2 billion people? He was a life long babu and file pusher - who just did carrying file to madam sonia to approve or deny.

He didn't even have power to even remove or recruit a peon in GOI without Sonia's approval. That is a bad. He brought down the power of PM and made it equal to a babu.

MMS caused the maximum harm to the country. High inflation caused misery to most of Indians. Price rise was unprecedented during his reign. Corruption was at its peak. With this record, history will not be kind to him.

This sudden tsunami of love for Manmohan Singh seems to be a part of the current campaign to demonise Narendra Modi afresh now that the bogus charge of his responsibility for the 2002 riots has been demolished.Remember Manmohan Singh has repeatedly accused Modi for the riots and took full political advantage from the unfounded allegation. He was hardly the saint that some people are trying to make him now that he is gone for good.

We need a leader who is visionary, articulate and move people for greater goods and cause and better world order. Although many Indians are highly educated, I didn't see anyone over last 50 plus years who have provided this kind of leadership to run such diverse country.

Manmohan Singh is a Traitor who misused the Prime Ministerial post by handing it over along with the Nation's destiny to the Italian Dynasty.

Thank you Mr. Former PM. He was a puppet for Italian and her son. Waste of time. I would have been happy if resigned.

To judge Manmohan Singh one has to remember the financial status of India before he took reins as finance minister. India had only a few days of foreign currency left the country was in absolute ruin, government maintained Indian currency rate artificially high that made no sense, you could only buy dollars in black. You were allowed to come to the US with only 8 dollars - remember the movie around the world in 8 dollars.

Look at the India's world standing today even with difficult economic times. There was a time when our country was ridiculed was considered and international handout a black hole where no amount of aid was enough. The changes he brought as Finance Minister defied imagination. Yes, he is mild mannered, surrounded by goondas, this is a highly educated and cultured man, he does not enjoy mud wrestling this is not his cup of tea. I wish Mr Modi good luck hope he uses his
popularity to propel the country forward.
