That is an awesome class! I wish I had her when I was in college. Making science fun and incorporating popular culture into science is a great way to learn. Kudos to her for thinking out of the box.

This professor is on top of the game. She has incorporated teaching techniques that provide instruction and learning relevent to human needs in the 21st century and beyond. Teaching thinking and creativity in a basic knowledge class will provide her students with the metacognitive skills that may help us solve major issues our Earth is facing...Read, remember, and regurgitate isn't always the best way to teach. You go, girl!

I would love to take a class like that...My motto as a teacher is,"always make learning relevant & interesting.." Apparently, she does!

p.s.-It amazes me how early in the morning the "yahoos" wake up...get a life!

LOL...biology taught through sci-fi lit. based on feminist and nonviolent themes.

Explains a lot about college grads today.

Can be boring as a class but is taught in a really great way. And the teacher is ridiculously intelligent.

Besides that, Kenyon College is the absolute best!!!:D

I took this class while I was at Kenyon and really enjoyed it. She goes a great job of using the books to teach scientific principles to those of us who may not be as focused in the hard sciences. Great class; great teacher!
