I wholeheartedly agree, also from the viewpoint that I think it borders on mental illness to treat sex and sexuality as something children need to be protected from. It's a part of life, and like it or not they're going to be curious about it even if you "protect them" completely. Except, that kind of approach just like this article says, results in them getting their information from the schoolyard, outlined the bleachers, and from porn. Those of you old enough to remember back in the 1950s 16 was not talked about in the home, what was the first thing you boys did? Go find a magazine with girly pictures in it I bet. Today is no different, except they've got the Internet and free viewable porn which if you don't want your kids to think that's what sex is, do something about it. If there were sex scenes in children's literature, it would go a long way to answer questions and stop early experimentation which you might not approve of.
