Students display dance talents in movie-themed Titanette Review

Months of hard work, daylong rehearsals and numerous costume fittings came to a close this weekend at Pioneer High School, where dozens of students performed elaborate dance numbers in the hugely popular Titanette Review.

A big congrats to all the groups for working hard keeping the Pioneer high tradition alive, awesome job Ms.Littlefeild and Ms. Peterson!! And great Job to Hairspray for winning Pops prize, ASB student choice, Best Theme, Best costumes, Best Props, oh yeah and SWEEPS!! a standing ovation well deserved. take a bow!!!!

I have been a fan of Titanette Revue for so many years! This year was a great show. Hairspray did a pronominal job but they didn't capture the dance element of the show. The group that had the best technique and overall best "dance" was the Frankenstein group. To the untrained eye, Hairspray was cute, fun and bubbly. However, in the dance world, Frankenstein by far had the best routine. Standing ovations don't count if they only include your own supporting audience. Had the entire audience stood up and cheered then you can truly count It as a "Standing Ovation"

I must say, I was a little disappointed with the results of the show. Hairspray was enjoyable, but it was very familiar, something that was done before...almost a replica of last year's winner, "Grease". This year's "Frankenstein" was innovative and original. It was like nothing I've ever seen before. Had they have been judged on raw talent, "Frankenstein" would have no contest. Kudos to Frankenstein!!!

I would have to agree with "Fan with a trained eye" and "Titanette Revue guest"! I thought that there were a lot of haters from the begining they didnt want that group Frankenstein to win..Did you see THE turns,kicks,technique and facials JUST awesome!!They were all together and HOW about those costumes they were original a lot of work went into that routine,makeup..We all know that Hairspary did a great job..But come On WE all Know who the Real WINNERS are FRANKENSTEIN all the way! FRANKENSTEIN IS THE TRUE SWEEP WINNERS!! Hairspray is so last years GREASE...

FYI it may be called dancing but maybe they should ome up with sum new moves not use the same dance move every year n try to change it a lil cuz everything still looks the same. And yes i do have a dance background cuz now i even dance for the los angeles clippers so how are you going to say that i dont maybe you dont. and for ur info i am not a hater on that 1 group its just wierd how finally a group that has done very good in the past has not won n finally the judges were right. that group didnt win because they were not good enough so get over it..

You are right, you Win! FACT: they did a lot of choreography from the movie. That’s cool! So in Theory Frankenstein lost to the movie.

Who cares Clipper girl, Laker girl, no girl! Point is, the show is over and done with! All the groups did a great job! It was about time Johnny's group won! He hadn't won since "Lord of the Rings", and I'm sure it felt great to sweep all the categories. That had not been done since Haunted Mansion 2005. The fact of the matter is they won, and good job. But lets stop all the bad mouthing of the "Frankinstens" they did a amazing job and were an excellent group. I just think everyone who is saying their personal opinon, was just tired of seeing that group win.
