Actually, i think that you kirsteen are prejudice, with a stereo-typical view. You've seen maybe a few people in India walking round the streets and you assume that they are all ugly? I have many people i know who are indian, and they are just like other people from around the world, some of them are stunning, some are good-looking, some are not that good looking. But, you cannot say that all indian women are ugly. You will find that colour of skin., if it is dark does not make a difference to beauty. Although some backward thinking families in India may still think that fair people are better looking than darker people, this view is a dying one. For exampe, an Indian actress Bipasha Basu is not fair - she is dark, but people still see her as a bollywood beauty.
You are very narrow minded, and i think that reading and analysing books such as 'to kill a mockingbird' and maybe making friends of other races, will help you overcome this. Although you may think that people that are black and african are pretty, this is true. But just like, if you are white, black, brown or whatever, there will always be beautiful people, the not so good-looking people, fat people and thin people.
Understand this, before you write comments that are stupid and not true.

I think all races are beautiful. It's a shame so many Indian women can't get on magazine covers, so many striking features indeed. I love dating women of all races, but there are problems for me if I do this in America.
As for me, I am a handsome Indian American guy ,but it's annoying when ppl stare at me as if I'm some foreign guy from a mysterious underworld. If I hang out with Indians, it only worsens things, that's what sucks. Currently, I am dating an attractive blonde w/ blue eyes, who I will probably marry. I have noticed when I walk with her, ppl don't stare at me and don't ask me where I'm from? Why is this? If I'm alone, ppl want to know where I'm from. Are they really interested in where I'm from or do they just want me to know I'm not American. For me, I have found it easier to live when I hang out with Caucasians. It makes life easier and doesn't put me in a foreigner status mode, I am just one of the guys--that's what life should be. My parents want me to marry an attractive white model-type girl because they indirectly believe it will help elevate my life and status. Tiger Woods married a blond. I guess I will too. This world is crazy, but I've struggled to find a niche, and white is the way to go for me. But that's just me, not everybody else.

Dear Kristine. For your prejudiced view I want to say the following (Don't go into merits of mythology in it):-
When God was making bread for humanity, One bread was underbaked. After eating it the white skinned race came to fore.
Second bread was overbaked to the point of being burned. After eating it, the dark, african-like race was formed.
But when with more caution God made a perfectly baked bread, which was neither under or over-baked and gave it to man for eating, Indians were formed.
So that is what an Indian is; neither too fair nor too dark. You will find this balance in their behaviour also. They are neither too excited nor too dull. Neither too ecstatic nor too sad.
A path of Golden Mean is followed by us Indians.
Anyways, it seems you are from France. People from both the countries have been friends since ages. Then why such ill feeling?

Where i'm from having white skin is a disease. even in the bible it states that white skin is a form of leprosy.( The book of leviticus) I can't understand black people who bleach their skin to look like that, even white people are reckonising the fact that their colour is gross, that's why they tan. Black IS and ALWAYS will be beautiful no matter what anybody says.

Your comments only prove that you are an ignorant and biased person. Regardless of color, every individual should be appreciated for thier god given gifts, despite what the perception of beauty may be. If you have the audacity to vocie your opinions, then voice them knowing fact. There are varied types of people in India. Many are from different backgrounds, and colors. The Indian film industry seems to make an icon of the fair skinned Indian, because that is what brings them profits. However, the average indian person, like most people in most cultures do not look like movie stars. You are ingorant to think they want to be like you, they want want sells, what makes money. Afterall, it is just a facade. It's what sells, however it does not mean that all fair skinned people are beautiful. I have seen with my own eyes people are fair and light skinned , but lack beauty.
