How do you know?

I know the type of girl that is typically out at that hour, they, in fact, do like to have a good time. Whether its drugs, alcohol or kinky sex or all three.

I can't wait until they release the results of her blood test and see whether there is alcohol and drugs in her system. They could also do a test to see if she had sex using any orifice.

You can't prove that his alleged BAC wasn't a result of chugging vodka to calm down.

All I have to say about the "corporate dancer" is: are you F'ing serious?

Yeah, and Asian massage parlors are staffed by college students studying kinesiology and who aspire to be athletic trainers.

You are living in a fantasy world.

If she wasn't drunk or high, why didn't she look before she crossed the street?

She might have been so out of her mind on drugs that she was oblivious to everything around her.

There is no proof that these kids ran the light, and no proof that they didn't slug vodka right after the accident to calm themselves down.

I'm not saying that the lady deserved to die, but then again, who is going to pay for the damage to the car?

All very possible scenarios.

Accidents like this don't just happen, they are caused by someone. And it's not always the driver's fault.

I know I've been hit by Russians who try to sue me

Even if the girl was a topless dancer, that does not mean that she deserved to get hit by the car.

Lots of women are forced to dance in the nude simply to make money, did you ever think she might have had children to feed and clothe?

Maybe this was her only option, and in that line of work, you get off really late, past 2am and still does not mean that she should have been killed.

I know I am late in this coverstaion, but here is my part. Okay Polina was a great woman. I never really talked to her that much but she would always give me a smile in the hallway of the Rock Shool of Dance. The day I found out that she died, ther was great grief in the whole dance school. People missing classes, everyone crying----eve people who didn't now Polina very well. But all you need to know she was an independent woman who probably did strip because not everyone gets paid to dance I know it for a fact. But if you did find out that she was a stripper you shouldn't judge someone because yo foud after it happened. Always it postive more though than negative it makes life so much easier. And for all those jackasses who have no fuckig clue what the fuck they are saying, go have sex you mother and suck your father's penis you inspicable asshole. Oh and have a nice day you crackers who made fun of Polina and he hometown.

Jabez,

I an not naive and fully realize what you are saying however I happen to know one of the club owners who have used the services of these dancers and it isn't and has never been a topless or strip style performance. Poli had just started wroking with them less than two weeks before.

Secondly there were multiple witnesses who saw the Audi speeding North on Broad Street and go through the red light and go out of control after striking Polina hitting three parked cars before they saw and later identified Barnes as the driver who jumped out of the car and ran up Broad Street.

There is only sadness here. Barnes previous arrests and now this DUI vehicular homicide at 19 and Poli gone at 22 is horrific for both young people, their families and friends.

Eyewitnesses are oftentimes unreliable. His previous arrests aren't relevant. Lastly, Maria said that she worked as a topless (and bottomless?) dancer.

Nice try, but I'd hate to see some kid get railroaded just to convict someone so some villagers in Eastern Europe have closure.

Sofia is not some village; it is the capital of Bulgaria, earlier known as the ancient Kingdom of Thrace. But what do you care? To you "some Eastern Europeans" aren't people, only Americans are. By your name, the question begs itself to be asked - would you be so complacent, if the victim were Israeli?

Just reading all your posts and have to say, I am now more disturbed by them than what happened to Polina! Since when it is Ok to blame the victim of a hit and run, but symphatise with a killer? America, the land of the free and the land of opportunities, yet so full of hypocrits and ignorants! If Polina were male, would she be judged still for being out at that time in the morning! As far as a Slavic so and so, I believer that everyone, unless you Sirs are Red Indians is from some plase else and an immigrant before being an American. Barnes killed a human being. Fact. He then ran away. Fact. He returned for his belongings, WITHOUT even attempting to call for help for Polina. If that is not a sad excuse for a human being, I do not know what is! I am just shocked that in this day and age America still breeds bigots!
RIP Polina! May Strength be with your family!

This is our new america. We are the new american way, the TEAPARTY way. Remember the good book says " do unto others before they can get up and do unto you". We are a land of single addresses we dont need no villages. As the governor said " I got mine, now you get out". Join us Teaparty riders, arm everybody and stop all the sqwawking and whining and get yours before the other guy does. That is the way of the gospels. Stand your ground and stop everybody who needs stopping. Cut out all the medicare, socialist security, free godless education above the station you have been given, and count NO votes save from those who are like us. Yay. Hallejulah.

This is just great. Someone dies horribly and you freaks are playing that backwoods backward teaparty race tune. For Shame. The foreign press is full of praise for the TEAPARTY as the one sure way for the country to melt down and, as one observer posed; " then everything will be for sale cheap, as in a boot sale" and " the boogers are melting down the very structure of their society so we can get the contents at 50% off". Thanks for playing into their hands you turds. Have fun rushing on back to pre civil war party central, where you expect to have such a great time, only YOU will not the be the plantation owners, y'all will be the yard pups. Dumbshytes.
