Hey, i just bought my first pair of pointe shoes yesterday and they feel so tight on me! I am a size 7 usually and my pointe shoes are bloch 6.5 xxx.
When i got them fitted they felt absolutely fine but when i took them home and wore them they felt really tight. I can't tell but it feels like my toes are curled up. the back of the shoe digs into my ankle and it hurts to walk in them. Also, the shank at the bottom doesn't seem lonG enough and a fair bit of my heel isnt over the shank, its just over the satin bit.
I have already glued on suede caps and i spilt a bit of tea on them (:S) and worn them in a bit so i can't take them back.
it is just that i need to break them in more or will i need to go back and get re fitted for different pointe shoes??
I would really appreciate your advice!
Thankyou, Lucy xxxx

Your toes will feel curled up and the shoe with be tighter then what you are used too. The heel does actually dig into your heel, you get used of it somewhat after you break them in and practice. This is all normal. Make sure you have toe pads and the shoe is on and tied correctly. Blisters are also common. If you get them ( I do a lot) put band aids on them.
