pointe shoes ,ribbons, elastics,how do you find the time?

i dont do point but how do you sew the ribbons and elastics on so quickly!
i have ballet flats with ribbons and it takes my nan 4 houres but it is very well done. if you get thrught that amouth of shoes so quick how do you keep up it like you must spend all your time constanly sewing ribbons and elastics on! how do you do it or do you glue it or somthing

People who dance in professional schools go through shoes really quickly, as do professional dancers.

However, people who do not go to professional schools do not dance on pointe as often, so do not wear out the shoes as often.

If you do not go to a professional school (i'm talking American ballet school, royal ballet school), your pointes may last several months. It all depends on how often you dance in them.

You should learn how to sew your own ribbons on soon, though. Practice makes perfect! Ask your nan to teach you how.

Most dancers just suck it up and sew sew sew like mad. When they get older, like teenagers, many sew them on themselves.

It's like anything else - with practice you get really fast at it. I always use a thimble and wax the thread first, that makes it faster for me.
