I was thinking of "The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe" (1972)
The other shoe was "red" actually ruddy brown.

Remade as a Tom Hanks movie The Man with One Red Shoe (1985)

what? hoo-ahhhh! This movie is great. I love the little pink plastic pigs that alight on the pond mid-stage and settle their wings into sleep and furtive bathing which goes on too long. How come all the old russian ballet teachers hated massine so much, hugh? Rambert was there.

they feller what sells the watch batteries and installs them too, with the hairpiece what dont fit in Mont town who always shows pix of him tryin to dance away says that his first love named nerden was the ballto in that movie so we got a local angle.
