I put Mr. Veckruise's name into google hoping against hope to find him alive and well -- and I did! He and his lovely wife, still living gently as he did when he was my high school choral director from 1960 - 1964.

Mr. Veckruise changed my life. He encouraged my musical talent when no one else around me did, and gave me many musical opportunities. Not just me, of course. He encouraged all his talented students to stretch themselves. He would have us listen to records and try to match the harmonies by ear -- that was tremendous musical training. He passed out song sheets and played the old ballads from the 30's and 40's. That wasn't wasted time. We needed to know our musical heritage.

Here's to you, Mr. Veckruise, and your lovely wife. I'm thrilled to hear that you are still active in music!

Fondly,

Life is full of surprise package, no one can predict what will be in the future. At one stage my life was out of track i was feeling hopeless and looser. But there is a man who had inspired and believed on me. He showed me the direction and made my life a beautiful. I do really wanna thanks him from the inner of my heart and hope to help him if he ever needs help. I think a person who lived their life according to their expectation are the happiest person in the world.
