cut/paste:

"...amitabh Bachchan-the one man industry and Big B as they called him,...."

Amitabh Bachchan got a whole team behind him as god mothers, advisers, mafias etc.

Rajesh Khanna don't even get any help from his own wife. They always blame he as a loner? He better fit as the "One-man industry"

Radzi,

I totally agree with you....it was Kaka who was one man industry! He never took any kind of help from anybody - ever. He made it entirely on his own. And helped so many make their careers. Salim-Javed, Yash Chopra, Prem Chopra, Mumtaz, Kishore Kumar, R.D.Burman, Ramesh Deo, Amitabh Bachchan all flourished because of him. I'm sure there are many more names which I'm missing.

Bachchan, on the other hand is not 100% but 200% parasite - a total leech. There's not 1 person he hasn't used to climb the ladder of success. How can anybody call him a one man industry, I don't understand! This is all media working for him.

He was willing, helping & made hits and BO with newcomers and firs-timers like Jammu, Yash etc.

Before the distributor mafias plotted to boycott Rajesh Khanna, he was able to produce hits with small banners and low budget newcomers (including acting for free thus groomed up newcomers as directors as well as producers.)

Bindu , Sujit Kumar who copied the trick of signing as many films as possible like kakaji in Bojpuri & sujit kumar suceeded in bojpuri films . Directly he was benefited in hindi films by kakaji & indirectly in bojpuri films. Anju Mahendru was only a dress designer/actor but rose to fame as the girl friend of superstar rajesh khanna.

Rajesh khanna did not take any remuneration for his guest role in - Anurag(1972) from his buddy producer director - Shakti samanta. Rajesh khanna also did not take any remuneration for the home-production of kishore kumar - Mamata ki chaon main. In fact, it is rajesh who helped kishore kumar's son Amit kumar to complete the film when kishore kumar died midway in the making of the film. Rajesh khanna also acted free of cost in the bengali video album - Aanada dhara bohiche in 2002-03.

Kishore Kumar sang for free in Rajesh's production Alag-Alag. So obviously Rajesh returned the favor plus more....

He also acted for no charge disclosed to help Yash Chopra became a first-time producer in Daag.

In his prime, he gambled his superstardom & worked with first timers to help them get started in the industry.

He was a threat to the establishment & the mafias.
He was the one-man industry.

Radzi,

When you say his prime - "He gambled his superstardom & worked with first timers to help them get started in the industry".

Are you saying his prime from 1969 - 1974 that he did this, and if yes, which films and with what directors in this period?

This is because Kaka suggested double role to yash ji for Deewar.

Kaka is himself to blame for this reason NOT yash ji.

Proof states he suggested double role for Deewar.

Kaka should have kept his mouth shut and did the film with Navin Nischol.

Jambu was a first-timer with no Hindi directorship experience before Apna Desh.

Haathi Mere Saathi was also first-timer for Tamil based Devar into Hindi film-making.

Bundabaaz was also a first timer for director Shammi Kapoor
