I think we talk about Vijay Arora career. I read that Vijay Arora played with Rajesh Khanna in Roti. And we know he didn't play movie like Amit's film.
I have watched Amit film in 70's and 80's, many violence, hero, villain, rape, fighting. Before I don't know about Masala movie, when I watched in youtube, I know now about this film. Same with many Amit's film.lol

I used to post here regularly but there is one person in particular here who is over defensive over RK even when justified.
1,Try telling him RK had flops
2, he recons RK ruled bollywood for 4 decades
3, he recons he models on RK as in Anand but slags off Amitabh
4, He recons Amitabh only does sh*t films and cheap stuff.
5, He doesn't realise this is a FORUM where people will have different opinions.
6, he does his best to keep forums running and is probably on commision.
7, he recons Dharmenda, HRK are all crap.
this forum would really be good if this would stop and turn it into a proper debate.

There is no way that RK would have done any good in Sholay, Pratigya, mera gyon mera desh, Deewar, Trusul etc.
Give it a rest!!!!!!!!!
Some films are only suited to RK and others to Amitabh and Dharam
Look at the mixture of performance in Sholay. Dharamji did comedy, serious, heman etc--an all rounder---he can not be compared to RK
RK can only do limited. It is ok to amire him but unfair to knock others.
You say--"RK performs from heart"
do the others perform from *rse?

Thanks to agree with me. They dont understand how cheap RK was, and above all he couldn't do any comedy. These people on this forum think his GOD. They are jealous of Dharm & Amitabh, they took over him, and stayed in the industry longer and going strong. RK can't keep up with them.
I think EX-Kabeer needs an eye test...he said Amitabh has lady hips in Bade miyan chote miyan, he doesnt understand Amitabh's has aged and his body has changed, but Rajesh Khanna always had lady hips, just like Shashi Kapoor!!
Dharmendra was another who was superior to Rajesh Khanna. Who proved that he can do all types of roles in films like - Satyakam, Anupama, Phool aur Pathar and comedy in Sholay, Ghazab.
CAN RAJESH KHANNA DO COMEDY??????????

Dharam had a very good physique. Accepted. But that is just about it.
He was the perennial no.2 to kaka & later amit. He did try to do serious work in an odd film like satyakam, but otherwise he did only action films.
The only film where he tried some meaningful comedy was chupke chupke where amit too had a comic role.
Rajesh too did not try his hand in comedy save very few films like aaj ka MLA, nishan.
But if U see the multistarrers that dharam & kaka figured in like dharam aur kaanoon, rajput, khamoshi, it was rajesh who had the better role.
Dharam was no doubt a very big star & definitely lasted for a longer period but he fell short of being termed superstar.
That applies only to khanna & subsequently to amit.
Comparing amit & kaka, if U compare the quality of their films, definitely khana scores. I am not talking about box office performance here.
Amit was unfortunaltey slotted in the "angry young man" image & could not get out of it. He combined comedy with action & did a serious roles when pitted against performers like sanjeev kumar in silsila, trishul & sholay, he was found wanting.
The classic case is shkathi where dilip kumar was head & shoulders above him ( not in height but in performance).
Amit also acted in many multistarrers & this helped his films to a large extent. Even there in kala pathar, shatrughan sinha walked away with the accolades as he did in dostana.
Kaka never shied away from acting with big stars. He held his own with shashi like premm kahani & alag alag, with sanjeev in aap ki kasam & against raaj kumar in maryada, dharam kanta & kudrat.
He was the perhaps the only star who has done the least number of multistarrers. Hit or flop - the onus was on rajesh khanna.
He did a film like red rose which any star would even refused to touch with a barge pole. His avtaar was perhaps the first hindi film which looked at the compulsions that old people faced.
The "living together without mnarraige" was handled by him in the B.R chopra directed "karm", that too in the 80s when the toipic was totally taboo in the society.(it still is).
Many of kaka's films were flops during the later half of the 80s but that again did not stop directors from approaching him for meaninful roles.
Of course, he too did duds like maqsad, masterji but those were far & few in between.
