Evil Todd, no matter what they may say about your "LOOK", you are a great American, you not only have the RED, WHITE, and BLUE look, but Turquoise as well, so in my interpretation, you represent not only the great USA, but New Mexico as well, Keep on giving us excellent reporting.

so now zangara and I feel bad for all the employees but I recently bought a vehicle from Zangara and they offered all these goodies like coupons for oil change and others but what concerns me is that when I bought my Jeep there is warranty with like a full replacement of tires when needed as long as I keep taking my Jeep in for servicing so now that they have closed the doors what happens to these warranties? I sure hope they can refer my to take it somewhere else because I bought this vehicle because at the time I needed one and the "Wonderful" deals with it. Thank you Martha C.

Martha, I would call them RIGHT NOW and ask them. If they say no one else will honor it, then demand a refund.

I know that went out the window, but I paid for an extended plan to get free oil changes and such. Will another dealership pick up those extended plans? UGH!

Special promotions like the "Free Tires for Life" is exclusive to Zangara, and is little more than a ploy used to sell Alignments and Rotations and generate service related work in their Service Department... The Manufacturer's Warranty is honored at any Chrysler Dealership, but is often affected by documented maintainence, save those recipts and be sure to have your Recomended Services done. You will be missed Ken, Thanks for all the 'Smokin Deals'.

Time to bring out the horse and buggy. That would be a good thing. Sometimes, we just need to slow down a little bit. What gets my craw is when people's cars get repo'd, the dealership sells the cars at auction at not even 1/4 the value of the existing loan and still punishes the consumer. What's wrong with that picture? Where do they apply the money for the car that was sold at auction? Does the dealership give it to the bank? Is the consumer notified of the sale? When you go to purchase or trade in a car, are they sold at "blue book" value? The auto industry is getting what it deserves for screwing people - no tears for you. Maybe they should sell their surplus vehicles at the auto auctions? Ya, right.

I thought Ken was up to his eyeballs in the bad dealings at Lloyd McKee, too.
Although, I do give him credit for telling his employees what was happening and not just letting them show up to a locked building the next morning.

Ya, right. as to your comment of where the money goes..........once a car is financed by a lender..i.e. bank or credit company....the dealership is out of the picture....the bank is the one thaqt send the vechile to auction to satisfy the loan

I was there in November. I was interested in a 2500 truck and all they could do is give me some sob story that they only had 1500's in stock. They did not even go in teh back lot to see or try to find me one at a different dealership. I did not like the service or the sales manager. I'm glad to see them go under.

I say let Galles and Pitre close also. They are all rip off artists, they mark up prices and then lie about tough times they have selling vehicles. If they wanted to sell cars mark them at cost don't add all that crap. Serves them right.

I think this is an indication on just how tragic our economic situation is in our country. I think this also just goes to show how this can effect anyone and everyone. I hope all of the employees can find employment elsewhere and also that slowly our nation can start to piece it's self back together and show just what a powerful nation we are. It saddens and frightens both myself and my husband to know that a company as large as Zangara Dodge has been forced into this situation. I feel as though Zangara Dodge was a household name throught all of New Mexico, and it is a loss for all to have such a reputable company close it's doors. As owners of a small auto body shop in Ruidoso, we deal closly with the automotive industry and have seen what an imapct this economy has had on everyone. We send out heart felt wishes of sucesses to come to the Zangara family in hopes that we can overcome this finical crisis and bring life to to everyones businesses.
