Not most, just many. And even more with this recent rash of purchases. Some common sense training provided by either the NRA, the gov or a combo, and free would be a damned good thing IMO. The anti-gun zealots have scared many into buying something they are not equipped to handle and have bought because of mass hysteria.
Well since you skipped reading my posts on the other thread you don't really have a clue. Oopsies. That would be arguing with you. Can we get back on topic?

And, btw, your stance does help fuel the mass hysteria as you call it. Just some doing their purchases too late.

Your stance feeds the frenzy much more than mine does. I'm being reasonable, you are not. Just what the anti-gun crowd hopes to portray all gun owners as, zealots.

Yeah, nice deflection and redirect. You threaten to take away and regulate and people should just lie down and go along. You are reasonable and those who disagree are stereotyped as zealots. Nice name calling and character assassination. You are common sense and well enough trained, but most other, that you know, aren't. So, ipso facto. It's make new laws, regulations, because most of the population is not as measured and rational as you are. They need the guidance of those who aren't idiots like they are.

And my stance is what?

That your ideas are not based on reality and won't do any good except make you "feel good"? Good thing you aren't like those idiots who text, call, eat, or drink coffee while driving. Those laws are great. Look around when you drive, but don't get distracted.

Now we're in the proper thread.

You said take away, I didn't, unless you're speaking of someone determined to be mentally ill/unstable, bi-polar etc.

Am I to understand you wish to see nor allow any changes to the existing gun laws whatsoever, none at all or ???

IMO, prohibiting transfer for DD is a moot point - because US federal law already prohibits ownership of firearms by those who have been discharged under dishonorable conditions, per the "Gun Control Act of 1968"...

UNLESS AND UNTIL a bill is passed which prohibits enforcement of federal gun laws in New Mexico.

Do you honestly feel that more laws will stop someone with the intent to break the law anyway? It is already illegal for felons to posses a firearm of any type. There is no possible way to absolutely keep a person from obtaining a firearm if they desire to obtain one. Even if all the guns were "collected" in the country, the people with bad intentions would not turn their's in leaving everyone else defensless against the bad guys with guns. "If Guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns" (and this type of law will make outlaws of a lot of people)

Arizona a Mexico border state like New Mexico just passed a law allowing concealed carry with NO PERMIT REQUIRED! You can still get a permit that is recognized in 35 other states including New Mexico, but to carry in Arizona, there is no longer a permit required within the state except for entering liquor establishments and other restricted facilities which require a permit.
HB 77 is bad enough, but HB 402 which seeks to ban "assault weapons" is beyond ridiculous for a Mexican border state. If passed New Mexico will surely become a hotbed of criminal activity including gang and Mexican drug infiltration, with border towns and cities likely to see a huge increase in home invasions, drug cartels thugs taking up shop in empty or abandoned homes, carjackings and you name it. Once they know the state has essentially disarmed the citizens, that's their invitation to come right in and bring their criminal activities with them.
We need our right to protect ourselves upheld and strengthened not the reverse. Guess this governor forgot who helped her get into office. Border county residents should be furious about this. They live every day in fear of violence and drug related crime.
