Matt was a loving father, husband, brother, and son. He was one who did not consume alcohol or do drugs, so no alcohol was involved in this. His family and friends want to remember him for who he was, all the positive and good he brought to us. We all loved him and know that he is going to be with us each and everyday in our hearts and watching over us.

Just curious if the Investigators are looking into the speed bump itself as a factor of the crash?

That's a nice $400+ helmet he had strapped to his bike instead of his head. RIP

Why does this article even mention the helmet?

How would the helmet have prevented this accident?

I will not ride my 27 speed bike without a helmet and I certainly would not ride a crotch rocket without a helmet. Poor guy, my condolences to the family. I would bet on speed coming into play here.

A helmet cannot "prevent" an accident, but it can prevent injuries or reduce the severity of injuries that may have saved the rider's life...especially when the articles mentions he died of "serious head injuries".

Wearing a helmet may be optional, but your head isn't. Did you know that it takes longer to strap your helmet to your bike than to wear it on your head? Save some time, save your life.

The way I see it everybody makes stupid decisions in their lives but nobody deserves to die for them. RIP Matt.

i knew matt like my own brother, may he rest in peace! he was responsibe and definately knew what he was doing, he was the straightest, cleanest guy i ever knew, i just dont understand, matt always had his hands and his heart open, he was social and loved to conversate, he was truly a good man, who was taken away way before his time!!! i will never forget him he will always remain close and near, and anyone who knew him knows that he was one who definately did not deserve this kind of accident.. I love you brother, may God guide you through the afterlife, and may your soul be at peace..........
