Wilson is the farm marm who can't crochet a mitten.

But Heinreich is the farm boy who can't plow a furrow.

I've seen better and we need a more honest Representative.

Neither fits the bill but hey this is New Mexico, land of the corrupt and not so caring elected so what can one expect?

Now here is what bugs me with ANYONE running for any office, keep your family out of pictures, I am not interested in what your husband, wife, daughter (s) or son (s) look like. Or in the case of Ryan his mother, even if he is a mommies boy!

One thing you are correct about in this poll.

Martin Heinreich is a pretty-boy poseur who would pump his communism down our throats faster than a goat could eat a can.

I'm voting for Wilson, but will be holding my nose when I do so.

We need more oil and gas production, and if Wilson can help come through on that, then I guess all is not lost.

She has to come through for them, they own her.

Well, they both spell their names differently. That is what I think of HW and MH.

Whether they do or not is immaterial to me. They are not the enemy. Oil and gas provide thousands of jobs in New Mexico, and a good portion of the money in New Mexico's state coffers. New Mexico needs that money and should be doing all it can to attract more industry. We are fortunate to have the resources we do. Even with former Governor Richardson's tax breaks and subsidies for pie in the sky "green" jobs that never materialized to any great degree, and his subsidies for Hollywood, New Mexico has done a poor job of attracting and keeping business in the past. Governor Martinez has done much to counter that.

We have petroleum, timber, and minerals now. New Mexico needs jobs now. Put two and two together and the state should be exploiting what we have.

I'd rather see "new blood" in this race, rather than two long time politicians, both of whom have been involved in "politics as usual" in the past.

But, we have what we have, and of the two, Wilson expresses, at least, a willingness to at least TALK about smaller government, lower taxes, and less regulation. Whether she'll actually act on it is debatable, but I'm willing to give her the chance considering the alternative.

Oh, but the smaller government is the issue. How many americans on food stamps and assistance. Pretty close to mandatory on taking medicare at 65 without future penalties, social security is seldom refused, and so on. Think more and more on both sides are just quibbling about the growth rate of government, not making it smaller. And I feel that most of the people want the benefits. And the government wants to protect its territory. From city, to county, to state to the feds.

the only difference between the two is that they spell their names differently. The only difference is the speed in which they will get us to the same end. Martin H will be faster and more efficient.

We must slow the growth of government, then stop it completely, before we can put this train into reverse.

I'll go for that.

I suppose the other option, continuing to speed towards fiscal oblivion, has it's merits. After all, breaking our nation can allow for a rebuilding. But such a course will be most unpleasant.

I think you and I are on the same wavelength. Still remember Anatole France's Penguin Island. That is what is happening here.

And your last paragraph goes in the direction of explaining why there is the Prepper's movement. Not new, obviously, but think it is driven by the same type of ideas in your post.

you don't care about corruption.

And there is nothing holding back that industry other than worldwide demand. Anyone thinking of the future welcomes safeguards to our land and water.

Quit lying - Production is up.

We always appreciate seeing the KKK chapter of the Republican National Committee exercising its right to free speech. Your postings illustrate the intolerance, bigotry and hate that are rampant in the GOP, and will gross out moderate voters thereby steering them to vote for Democrats. Thanks for the help. Sorry, but there is plenty holding back domestic production and refining. Over-regulation in the age of global competition puts the U.S. in the back seat, when we should be leading the way.

I'm all for safeguarding our land and water, but not at the expense of starving ourselves to death.

Heather's husband is a child abuser whose crime was covered up by Heather while she was head of CYFD.

Ask her about it and she'll walk away. She's never addressed the issue - the file "went missing" so she feels like there's nothing to talk about. Do we really need to know anything else?

I love you, man. What you lack in brains you make up for in cowardice.

The Republican Party needs to fly you to Tampa at once, so you can introduce Susana to everyone who isn't busy spending their oily money the local strip clubs.
