I don't find it shocking to hear some Mormon Senator (or Mormon anyone else for that matter) got arrested for DWI. People are human and humans make mistakes. The part that is shocking to me is that the guy has gone through life with the name "CRAPO" and has never thought to change it!

Mormons ae not human. They are angelic beings. Some have celestial duties of testing out mortal activities, As expected, what seems like a character breakdown simply opens a non-mormon very human reaction. Mormons cannot be compared to us, mortal humans. My human observation has led me to this conclusion. My thinking and I are free.

If find it appallingly bigoted that the news media would identify any drunken driver with his or her religion.

I heard that! Seems the problem isn't the issue of focus but rather any/all associations one might have w/ anything else. Misdirection at its best.

When told he blew twice the legal limit, the suspect said, "Actually, I blew 3 nine year olds."

You must be referring to Republican Senator Larry Craig, who wanted to blow more than his nose in the Minneapolis airport men's room.

Thought you were referring to Democratic President Bill Clinton, or Gary Hart, or James E McGreevey, or Wilbur Mills...let's not forget Democratic Congresscritters Gary Condit or Mel Reynolds (16 year old). Or Governor Neil Goldschmidt who did have a relationship with a 14 year old. Or escort service Barney Frank?

The list covers both sides of the aisle. Just to be fair and balanced. Larry Craig wouldn't have made the top ten in anyone's but your list.

You know what Bubba? I have made far more jokes about Bill and Monica on these threads than I have about Larry Craig. But the context of this joke thread is male politicians performing oral sex on other males. As you may remember, Monica is a female.

So why don't you self-medicate with some Preparation H, avoid anal intercourse until your hemorrhoids subside, and come back here when you can think with your brain instead of with your sphincter?

Thanks for your kind words and homophobic posts. I thought this was about DUI and congresscritters shenanigans. Guess you have a blind spot for other proclivities. And you are always the gentleman.

Ridiculing Larry Craig does not make me a homophobe any more than ridiculing Bill and Monica makes me a heterophobe. Your posts might have more credibility if you ditched your politically correct snobbery.

Perhaps you're easily appalled?

Crap-o's religion is well known by those who voted for him. And by those who voted against him. He He undoubtedly gets financial support from members of his Church, and there's a good chance he's taught a Sunday School class or two. Maybe the media chooses to make a point of this man's religion because HIS RELIGION FORBIDS THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL?

Hypocrisy may not be big news, but it is newsworthy. If the Pope is caught blowing a sailor, don't you think it might be worth mentioning that he's the head of the Catholic church?

No?

If what you say were correct, then why did our unbiased news media not use these headlines?

"Methodist Senator Blows it in Minneapolis" (Larry Craig)

"Catholic Congressman on the Wrong Page" (Mark Foley)

"Baptist BJ in the Oval Office" (Bill Clinton)

"Jewish Senator Brings Home the Bacon" (Dianne Feinstein)

The news media is one of the most biased entities in the USA.

Well, let's see. I remember all of those, and I don't work for any media organization. I had to have heard about them somewhere.....hmmm....let's see...oh yeah, it must have been IN THE MEDIA.

Perhaps nobody outside of Montana had heard of this crap-o guy. I know I hadn't. And with a name like that, I'm sure I'd remember.

So, what's the solution to this man's problem? Should he wear magic underwear over his mouth, to protect him from John Barleycorn's tempting ways? Or perhaps he'll be sent off to Kolob, where there is presumably some kind of Intergalactic Rehab.

At least the headline was accurate... or doesn't that matter any more? Last time Fox News reported on President Obama losing a pick-up game, we got MUSLIM PREZ BLOWS CLUTCH 3-POINTER.

Giving the news media special credit for getting the story correct would be akin to giving your surgeon credit for not doing a prostatectomy when all you had was an in-grown toe nail. Are we going to lower professional standards this far?

With regard to Crapo, it's not illegal for a Mormon to take a drink. But it is illegal for anyone to drive drunk, and that is the issue, not his religious beliefs.

Okay. You can have that one.

But if he can't stop drinking, she should stop calling himself a Mormon. Or change his name to Jack Mormon. Anything's better than Crapo.

Always love your kind and tolerant views towards those who aren't like you. The great make them subhuman to go after them. No wonder they, by in large, do not support gun control and have been persecuted.

Sure you don't have some kind words for Seventh Day Adventists, Jews or Jehovah Witnesses?
