For those who think abortion is fine, what say you about this????

Male birth control pill soon a reality

Implants, patches and creams also on the way

By John Schieszer

SEATTLE, Oct. 1 Forty-year-old Scott Hardin says hes glad that men may soon have a new choice when it comes to birth control. But, he adds, he would not even consider taking a male hormonal contraceptive. Hardin is like many men who are pleased to hear they may have a new option but are wary of taking any type of hormones.

You better hope it hasn't been approved by the FDA. They've been pretty lax over the years. Better hope Goliath doesn't turn green and start shedding skin.

This poll does not ask or say enough to be honest.

Why, because it does not go into detail, does the man have a family and not want more kids?

Does it refer to young unmarried males who want to enjoy sex without creating babies?

If there is already a family and they don't want more what's wrong with the guy having a vasectomy?

No worry ever about creating or getting a female pregnant again, it does not change a thing as far as end results.

It does not involve taking pills that can change or have side affects etc and you don't have to keep paying and paying for them.

What I see is BIG PHARMA finding more ways to make millions with another drug or if you prefer prescription medicine.

Another way if the male thinks it would make him less a man is for the wife to have her tubes tied.

Both assure that there will be no more babies.

Now now KM, remember Davy is a homosexual so there really is no need to worry that he would ever get anyone pregnant!

It is a male's responsibility as much as a woman's to prevent unwanted pregnancies.
Tuballigation's are 99% effective in the first year and the effectiveness decreases there after as the tubes can reconnect. A vasectomy is much more effective and doesn't run the risk of impregnating a female.

Another thing to think about is what are the risks associated with this man pill. Side effects, will it make a man less potent later on, elevated cancer risks (if any), hormonal problems, ect. The same thing that a woman has to take into consideration if she takes the pill which are real risks.

It's a personal decision for each man to make, regardless of circumstance....

Very true, for us, me I went with a vasectomy but not till both of us talked it over and over and back in the days I had mine the person had to be married with children AND talk with a doctor first.

Both also had to sign a paper agreeing they understood once done it was permanent.

The benefits indeed offset the small risk.
