New Mexico has an election
Whose campaigners work to perfection
With Martinez a fool
And with Denish a tool
The voters have lost all direction.

Sticking to the issues:

Martinez gloats about her record as a prosecutor. Well let's see in one of her most publicized cases the convictions were overturned.

The Baby Briana convictions were overturned by the Court of Appeals. Yes the convictions were reinstated, in part, but that work was done by the Attorney General. Susana's hands were washed at the District Court level. Even at the appeals the case was presented by the Attorney General and was lost due to Susana violating the 6th Amendment.

She basically lost the Gonzales case. Her office was disqualified from the case and when a separate prosecutor was given the case they dropped the charges.

Then you have the Scott brothers case where the charges were dropped because of basically negligence by the police and prosecutors.

Now you can fuss and fume that the State judges are too tight or strict with the Constitution, but the fact is those same laws and rules are known by the prosecutors and police. So if they don't want their cases vacated then they need to start abiding by the law.

What that should tell most of you is that Susana Martinez knows the law, policies, and procedure but yet she chooses to do things her way. She basically is reckless with the law. She has an objective and doesn't just throw caution to the wind she acts with an utter disregard for any ethics whatsoever. That's fine she wants justice. Everyone wants justice especially in a case like Baby Briana, but "the ends do not justify the means."

When a person decides that the laws no longer matter in order to achieve justice then we all have lost.

For I can guarantee you that any capable prosecutor who had the Baby Briana case had followed the letter of the law and not violated the 6th Amendment the convictions would have not been overturned and possibly earned even stiffer sentences.

Susana's record is just that a record. It exists as fact for anyone to verify and she says one thing, but her record shows something else.

It's amazing to see these comments against Susana Martinez, when you don't have the guts to put your real name on the page. It's easy to slander someone when you don't have the guts to sign your comment. I grew up with Susana's husband and have watched her career with great admiration. She is from El Paso, which is by far closer to Las Cruces and Dona Ana County than other NM cities. She has served the people of NM and DAC diligently her whole career and will serve ALL New Mexicans as our governor. You are not re-elected by the voters because they don't like you. The majority of DAC voters support Susana because she works for the people. I for one, have and will support her all the way to the Round House. Mark my words, Susana Martinez will be the next Governor of New Mexico! She is the right person, in the right place, at the right time, to carry New Mexico forward and get our economy back on track.

We don't need another train, or plane. Or New York firm to manage our PERA retirement account.(Wait for this to come out in the news...)

Why don't you complain about Governor Richardson flying our new jet around to campaign for president, while being paid as Governor? This was the only reason he purchased the plane in the first place. At New Mexico Taxpayers expense. You don't need a jet to fly from Santa Fe to Silver City, Roswell, Raton, Hobbs, or Farmington. Once his presidential campaign ended, so did the use of our big jet. Now we have Secretaries of various departments using it to travel, when they can get a car from General Services and drive. Talk about excessive abuse! 8 years ago, we had a balanced budget and cash in the bank. Now, were broke. We have a democratic held Senate and House, with an 2 term governor who ran our state into bankruptcy. It must be the Republicans fault, because we didn't keep insisting that you stop overspending and stay within your budget. In 3 1/2 months, Governor Richardson will be gone, but New Mexicans will be left with the task of cleaning up the mess. The democratic mess. The only candidate that has any chance of bringing our state out of the mire were in, is Susana Martinez. You do not see her department over-budget and she will run our state with the same diligence she has displayed for 18 years. It is time for all New Mexicans, democrats and republicans, to stand up and say, "enough is enough", and back Susana Martinez. History will show that Ms. Martinez was not only one of New Mexico's greatest Governors, but one of the greatest Governors in the United States. The right person, in the right place, at the right time!

Wow.

Speaking of re-elected. It's not too hard to win when no one runs against you.

As for slander. It's actually called libel and nothing I have posted is in any way libel because I have evidence to support it. Libel has to be maliciously false and nothing I have posted about Susana Martinez has been false.

As for the problems with your state it isn't the Republicans fault nor is it the Democrats fault. The problem with your state is the people. YOU are the government. If you have a problem with officials or the legislature you get together and file complaints with the courts or with the legislature and you keep doing so until a change is made. If no action is made then you vote them out or you petition for a recall and get them out.

If you think Susana is honest then you need to see these with an open mind.

Sung to the tune of Jingle Bells:

Jingle bells,
something smells,
up in Santa Fe.
Everyone grins,
when Martinez wins,
up in Santa Fe - HEY!

To the curb,
with the word,
Denish you're outta here.
Never fear,
Martinez is near,
Welcome to Santa Fe - HEY!

Now it's time,
for NM to climb,
the ladder of success.
Raise your thumb,
honesty's come,
come to Santa Fe - HEY!

I'm so glad,
the Reps now have,
a chance to show their stuff.
Make my day,
she's here to say,
no more pay to play - HEY!

It's all set,
you can bet,
crime will go away.
So give a cheer,
and have a beer,
Martinez is the way - HEY!

Don't be dumb,
vote the bums,
out of Santa Fe.
Dems are gone,
and so's this song,
Martinez is the way - HEY!
Martinez is the way!

Oh no, thank you.
One of the other things that bothers me is this lottery crap. Probably billions of dollars goes into the lottery and how much is paid out in winnings? An extremely low percentage. They say it's going into education and yet have you seen any changes in education? Kind of strange that millions upon millions goes into the lottery and yet every election some candidate talks about improving education. Really? Then where is that money going???
Those lottery tickets cost one dollar. It costs money to print, figure out odds, make software programs, distribute, etc, to the tune of about 67% of the selling price. We do get the money, but if you look at inflation, every other country says we are at 6% per annum, and our money's value has been halved, in part due to other policies Bush implemented to stave off the Fiscal crisis Reagan started by borrowing to pay for his pet projects, a lot of which went into this state, instead of raising taxes outright to cover for his spending spree. We can't right now pay off Reagan's big debt when it comes due in 2012, so they are devaluing the dollar just as they do in South American countries with their own money.

So, prices have essentially doubled, which you can gauge easily by looking at gas prices, which are double what they were 10 years ago.

So, money doesn't buy as much, number one.

Number two, gambling is like alcohol-everyone complains about it, but no one ever has stopped it. But no one has ever lost his house, or filed for bankruptcy, or at least the rate is lower, for playing the lottery, either. In states that did use it that NM checked into, all it did was take advantage of known something where people VOLUNTARILY but without much risk or destruction, gambled for fun and it helped out. If you check any biz, they all have to pay out the majority of their income in expenses already. You just for some reason have decided they don't ave to, and the money they make is magic, and doesn't have to be paid out. You obviously, on this subject, did not go to the library and ask people and check like you did with your court case, if it did happen the way you said it did.

You made an assumption, based on your own, personal ignorance, which you did not remedy. Republicans pull in people like yourself all the time, mainly because people do not honestly know how things work, and people are by nature complainers, so they can misdirect the anger into misbelief, too.As a point of fact, we took all of the capacity and WMD's out of Iraq in 1998. But, we went to war against them despite their having a socialist gov't which is opposed to all religion, based on the idea that they were funding the terrorists known as Al Qaeda, meaning "toilet" in arabic, a manufactured name.

We went in because American oil companies got Iraq as part of the peace process in WW2 and before, it was our area-and we paid for the pumps and took it as if it were ours. Iraq rebelled, and took it back, but didn't have the wherewithal due to corruption to pay for repairs, so we got it back. Then, we blamed them for 9/11, despite the fact it was a Bush family ally-the Saudi Arabians-who had the attack planned by a family contractor's son, paid for by Saudi money. More misdirection.

But, we do get millions net every year from the lottery into our education system-and with prices having doubled, but wages not, and that money being paid out as discretionary, that means we did not have to raise taxes as much for land and housing and income and spending, either.

So yes it did do something-it saved you from paying more for the same thing, since the Repubs devalued our money since they couldn't pay for their spending spree legitimately. It mean the increase was paid for by people with itchy fingers at the checkout line in liquor stores and groceries everywhere, when they chose to do it.
