How is this fair? This guy gets 50 years?

Manny and friends steal more than $4M and Manny has to repay $2M and and he only gets 5.5 years in prison.

Fat politicians seem to get off easy.

The other sad thing about this is, you can kill someone with DWI or some other "accident" and you only get 3 years.

50 years on a plea deal. And someone who murders someone gets under 20 years or cops a plea. No 50 years. Forgot that money is no laughing matter and worth more than a human life. What a...

How in the world does this guy get 50 years for stealing but politicians who steal only get a few years??? If you are a "nobody" you get the book thrown at you, but if you are connected, you get off. Seems like murderers don't even get this much time.

Exactly what I was thinking - you notice when someone is found guilty of murder, rape, ect. that they are out in a few years - but mess with the MONEY and 2000 years!? Whats wrong with this picture?

Our criminal justice system is seriously out of wack! What does it say about a society that puts a higher value on currency then it does the actual lives of the citizens.

Now when is Bill Richardson coming up on charges? When running for Gov the first time, all the pueblos that had casinos funded his campaign in return for re-negotiating the gaming compacs signed by Gary Johnson. When Bill got in, the compacs were lowered from 12% to 7% that the casinos were to pay the state! PAY TO PLAY "WITH CASINO CHIPS?" THIS IS WAY BIGGER. THEN REMEMBER JACK ABRAMOFF AND THE DEALS WITH SANDIA CASINO? LOOK INTO BILL'S CONNECTION WITH JACK TOO!!!

Its really interesting how the judicial system works in New Mexico, which is really pathetic.
1.David Roybal receives 50 years for defrauding his employer.
2.Man in Albuquerque receives 13 years for prostitution involvement
3.In a New Mexico town a man is chase by police and when he came to a stop, he fired at police, he receive 55 years.
4.In Temple, TX, after a wild chase and endangering police officers with his vehicle Russell Ferwell receives 20 years behind bars.
5.Liano Claw in San Juan County is chased by police and he fired twice on Sergeant Budd, he receives 22 years.

But when it comes to DWI Vehicular Homicide convicted drunk drivers receive a slap on the hand. One good example is an illegal immigrant kill two people while driving drunk and receives 7 years and with good behavior is out on 3. The judge says to the convicted man,I know you didn't mean to kill those people.
Now Carlos Ferro for DWI, hit and run receives 7 years.

Something is very wrong here!

The message is that it is who you know or shouldn't know and that money is of more import than a human life. Our justice system at work. If it is economics then it is the state's business. Health care is spoken of more in the costs to the economy than it is an individual's plight. It is the state wanting to rule all that is financial. If it costs then it is punished.

Exactly, there is something wrong with the scales of justice. They are way out of balance.

I think murder and other crimes are more important than disrespect. He deserves a sentence and restitution too, but those don't exceed your insinuation. Your analogy is badly flawed.

Are you aware that Iran, Iraq, Mexico and the USA are sovereign nations?

As sharp as you think you are, I'd have thought using such emoticons would be obvious. It is to everyone else.
