Well folks, it still takes four to five days to e mail a bill in Las Cruces to be paid in Las Cruces. I have relatives in Albuquerque who have local property management firms...they take 13 days to get rental payments checks to the owners. I can name names.
I think it's time we get the U.S. Senators and U.S. Rep. from Hobbs back involved.
And when was the last time anyone in Las Cruces...got a straight answer from anyone from the U.S. Postal Service?
No wonder they lose so much profit annually. They can never be available to answer questions. And don't blame the unions - dim Republicans - the delivery issues were around when Shrub was in the White House.
Let's just get the mail in two days time. Geeze.

This happens all year long, not just around the holidays. So the snow can't be the problem.

Yup, we have a very important package lost for a week now, which according to their website was on route to be delivered then POOF! DISAPPEARED!!! Very disappointed. Property cameras show no such attempt to have delivered it like they state on their website either. So there you have it, you can give someone the benefit of the doubt but, cameras don't lie. NOBODY EVER ATTEMPTED TO DELIVER IT AND, IT'S NOWHERE TO BE FOUND IN THEIR FACILITY EITHER.

I don't believe the snow is the problem either!! Just the other day we recieved several circulars in the mail for sales. One being from JC Penny's. That night we went to Penny's and as we went to pay for an item, the cashier told us the add was expired. We checked the other adds after we got home and they were all expired. This isn't the first time this has happened either. Wonder how many more people this happened to!!

The improvement after the Senators got involved lasted a few months since then it's been a steady decline.

I recently received a miss addressed letter which I marked return to sender noting there was no one by the name on the letter at my address. I have mailed it back three times I've received it make the next day twice.

This post office is a joke. One counter person at peak times, late mail, mis-directed mail and unwillingness to communicate with customers.

If it is important I used FedEx or pay online.

The Post Office service in the east mesa is horrible!
Not only do they not deliver on Saturdays, but I often have to interchange mail with several neighbors because our mail delivery person doesn't know how to distribute it properly.
He even had the nerve to get mad at my wife when she confronted him about it.
I was ignored at Post Office when we filed a complaint. Nobody bothered to follow up on it!

Kohl's coupons were delivered to my house late four weeks in a row starting with Thanksgiving week! Most of them were $10 off coupons, which I would have used. Instead, I skipped my trips to Kohl's. If I were the department store head, I would not stop until they refunded my money for the mailers. Kohl's is a big department store and has a lot of weight behind it. Sorry, Kohl's they're making you lose a lot of money!

Mail a letter from LC it goes by truck to Denver. Then from Denver by truck to Dallas. Then Dallas will route it where ever it's final destination is. Say El Paso (by truck). If it need s to go to California better give it 10 days or more with the distinct possibility of it getting lost.

An order placed with Amazom.com had a prompt response with shipping and a delivery date, after tracking its progress on line,it became apparent that it languished an additional 4 days in Las Cruces before it was delivered, you guessed it,5 days later than the latest projected delivery date by Amazon.Just the facts for what it's worth.

I divide my time between Abq and LC, but I never mail anything of a timely nature from LC. This isn't a new problem; it's gone on for years, but the Postal Service won't do squat if we get a late fee.

Pay your bills online or drive to El Paso or somewhere else to mail them.

I don't know what the root cause of the problem is, but it's gone uncorrected for a long time, snow or no snow.

UPS is following USPS downslide. I had 2 time-sensitive packages to be delivered to me on Monday. One arrived, delivered to the wrong address, and the second came in today! Next time FED-EX if possible.

We've had advertisement mail delivered after the sales event [even a week later], though the circular stated,
"Please deliver by....." during the time of OIC Sylvia Bullins.

OIC Sylvia Bullins would even hold back pay checks for months until one employee sued her and the Post Office in Federal Court.

We had a OIC Editha [Dee] Strickland who would say,
"Get back in your cage!"

Sanford, NC has had mail held back by changing the color day code of the item.

The only snow that's keeping our mail out longer than reasonably normal, is the snow-job the postal service keeps shoveling out to their soon-to-be-all-gone customers.

Albuquerque does not know what is going on in Las Cruces. All they see is the numbers on the computer every morning that is input by the supervisor in Las cruces. We as carriers in Las Cruces are instructed to leave every morning as soon as our automated mail arrives at our unit, regardless of how much mail we have to leave behind. Dated mail means nothing to supervision anymore. The only thing important to them is for carriers to leave at there projected leave times for that particular route. Customer service means nothing anymore. Carriers are now disciplined for missing a scan point rather than for poor customer service. We are intructed to get out the door asap regardless of the mail we have to leave behind. dated mail be damned. All that matters to management is the clock rings for each carrier meet the projected time of the route each carrier is on. Carriers are disciplined if they work over 8 hours even though most routes are longer than 8 hours due to recent route adjustments. If you go to the Post Office today in the middle of december you will find all routes clean of mail because it is typical every year in the middle of this month that all mailers have ceased mailing. But you can bet your life by the end of January most routes will be backed up with delayed mail due to managements refusal to bring in carriers in on there day off and pay them overtime.

In terms of personal dealings with the USPS, our newest mailman is rude, careless, and crass. He often places mail in the wrong boxes (and we live on a street with individual boxes in front of houses, not pods), or will come at odd hours, 1:00 one day, 3:30 the next, 12:00 the next, then 5:00 the next. It's been a mess.

You go down to the post office and try to talk to someone and they're overwhelmed. I know there are some good people there who try their hardest, but something isn't working. The mail here has always been bad, and it seems to just get worse and worse.

I'm not a big "sale" person so I find the Tuesday ads to be more of a nuisance. However, it is these ads that are keeping the USPS in business. And now they are messing that up. The USPS is not competitive by any stretch of the imagination and is not very far away from being totally obsolete. Their hours are terrible and if you need to mail something after work, forget it. The windows close early and many no longer have the stamp/envelope vending machines...so you are out of luck. Customer service is lacking because the associates seem to believe that they are the only game in town. "If you don't get it here then you just won't get it." I don't mind paying UPS or Fed-Ex...and if you need something overnighted, they are you only options.(And Diehl).
