THATS THE HONEST TRUETH, I FEEL THE SAME WAY YOU DO.

<quoted text> I meant no disrespect… And like I said you’re a better person than me. I’m sorry for your loss. With that said don’t you feel his infidelities had ALLOT to do with the end result? You have anger for the man who took his life… he was here in Korea HURTING and made a quick/bad/insane decision. Maybe if Amn Smith wouldn’t have been there… maybe he’d be here to “work on your marriage.” What about SrA Jahaira N. Parvilus the person your husband was cheating on you with? From what I understand she taunted her husband with her affair with Amn Smith. Shouldn’t she have some responsibility in this? Personally I feel TSgt Parvilus killed the wrong person… should’ve been her. NOT JUSTIFYING WHAT HE DID… but being here away from my loved ones I understand.

My cousin will always, always be missed-KNOW THIS!!! He is at peace now and no one will ever harm him again. To point fingers is senseless. We cannot bring him back. Just pray that at least ONE person will learn from this tragedy. Be thankful you don't have to live with this MURDER on your chest & constantly watch your back!!!

This is Smith's cousin and yes i do agree that he killed the WRONG person. She is the one who betrayed him, unfortunatly my cousin made a bad decision however,he didn't deserve to die for it. He was only being a man who didn't turn down pussy, and if your word is true when you say that she "taunted" him then yes it very much is her fault, but every dog has his/HER day and she will pay for what SHE CAUSED.

Who knows, probably Mr. Parvilus cheated on Mrs. Parvilus in the past and as people say what comes around goes around. He probably didnt like the feeling on being cheated and snapped. I feel bad for all parties; Smith, which didnt deserve death, even if there was an affair and Mr. Parvilus for losing his mind and losing everything: his kid(s)(if any), wife career and basically his life. I bet after he was sane again, we was thinking WHAT HAVE I DONE! As for Mrs. Parvilus this will be somewthing you will never forget.
There was nothing insane about his decision because this man knew for months that his wife was cheating and therefore knew what he had planned to do, so to say that he was "temporarily insane" is some fu**ing b**ls**t

What About The Wife wrote:
She should be tried as an accomplice to murder.
I feel sorry for these service men whose wives (who usually don't work) and fellow service men think it's okay to cheat, for what ever reason. I lived on an Army base and saw too many of them hooking up on a daily basis while everyone on base knew, except the spouses. Until a wife told the CO, threatened to go to the media, and he started throwing those soldiers in the brigg for conduct unbecoming, and called the wives on the carpet for being ho's and putting their husbands in danger of killing or being killed.
So-called wives with too many guys willing to tap that while the hubby or their own wives are away, usually risking their lives...talk about needing Homeland Security!
His wife met this guy while on a "deployment" there are other things people don't know about her or what went on.

It's sad that this happened. I don't know why people bother to get married if they're not going to stay faithful. I hope people are not getting the impression that everyone in the military screws around or that everyone who comes to Korea screws around and gets drunk all the time.

Please people. This is some of the most hurtful commentary. My heart breaks for all families involved. There are two children who will never see their father free again. There is a grieving wife who will never see her husband again. Can they have SOME respect! I pray she is given the strength to carry on and fulfill the dreams she has which have obviously been altered due to the circumstances. I am and always will be a friend to Gerard. I have known him for many years. Yes, there is a first wife and what went on between them is THEIR business. I know for a FACT that he LOVED Jahaira and was given GRAPHIC DETAILS of her affair by her. There are many people who were deployed with her and knew what was going on between her and Mr. Smith and when the military was given the information to stop the affair and punish them both, they lied and it was dropped. All of that said, I just wish my friend could have gotten help because he begged for it and did not receive it. I wish with all my heart Mr. Smith's life didn't end this way but we all can show some respect to the families involved by ending these hurtful comments. Many of us are hurting over this.

As horrible as it is, adultry is not a reason to kill someone. No one should have been killed. Not Mr. Smith, not the wife... period.

Why don't you cease and desist? Maybe they subjects involved DID in fact have broken homes and weren't raised correctly. Who are you to judge? How about I judge you? Your name seems to derive from Hispanic decent... Talk about "real winners!" No one is committing more crimes in America than the Hispanics/Illegal Aliens! Please go back to Mexico! ASAP!!!

As for the widow, relative and friends of all involved, may God be with you!

Is the Antoinette Smith discussed here the one who owns a small shop on Guadalupe street and does alterations? I believe she's Italian and in her mid to late 60s?

You shouldn't wish dead to anyone. Everyone did something wrong. If you went through such a hard time with your brother's dead why do you wish dead to Jahaira??? Think before you type. No one deserved to die, unfortunately you brother did. My condolences to you.
