Ruling against Christian photographer appealed

A Christian organization today appealed a ruling that an Albuquerque photographer who refused to take pictures of a gay couple's commitment ceremony violated New Mexico's discrimination law.

Anybody that has their own business should be able to decide who they will work for at any given time. Plain and simple. Its good to see some people don't define their morals by dollars.

Seems to me, a business owner should have the right to provide service to whom ever they chose. One individual groups of rights should not over ride the rights of another individual group. The loss of revenue might alter that persons mind on who is provided service, but the choice is still the business owner. There are still many other photographers who will do a beautiful job for these folks, why deal with someone who doesn't chose to do the photos???

It is my opinion that you should be able to do that if you chose to as a business owner. But I would imagine the next sign you would be putting up is "for Sale". Who knows, that may also happen to the photography place.
